Sorry if this has been posted but......my local tesco doesn't open at all on Easter Sunday (maybe all tesco?). Guess I'll save some petrol that day!
There was discusion on this the other day. It seems those North of the border are the ones who can still DTD, like they can 24/7 usually on a sunday..... grrrr, sometimes I wish I still lived in the 'real' up North!

I've had an not good episode there, as well - SA kept going on about she did not know what to do with the voucher, asking the SA behind her, in front of her, calling to one three tills down (I did try explaining, but it did not seem to work for her)... then put the till on hold and we went off to CS... who said just scan it and sign the receipt... back to the till we go... still querying it and unsure, and not listening to me explaining either... I was quite pleased to get out with shopping and new receipt!
Hi I also visited the store last night and was really embarrassed as the sales assistant shouted across to the supervisor "we've got another one of these vouchers". She came marching across and told me I could not use a voucher to purchase more goods. as my receipt showed I had used a voucher on my previous shop. When I asked her where it stated this in terms and conditions she pointed out on my voucher "this voucher has no cash value". She said if I paid wuth cash or card I could then input receipt and then they would accept new voucher. Also said she had to tell loads of people same thing that day. This was done in front of a queue of people at checkout. I felt like I'd committed a crime, backed down and paid for my shopping. This was only the second voucher I'd used and was nervous to start with, definately won't be doing it again.
However good luck to you all and many thanks to all who compile and update spreadsheet.0 -
Think heading for scotland from home in sunny Devon maybe a lil extreme. dtd free day for me
I am addicted but also not that addicted.
There is a benefit to heading North, it wil leave all the grockles to clog up our roads.

I say Tesco found it EASY to make promises it still cannot keep.0 -
Just went to Tesco in Merthyr Tydfil and ended up leaving items at the check out as the cashier and till supervisor decided to make up a new rule.
You can't use a receipt that you have already used a voucher on apparently! "The voucher says it has no cash value so that means you can't do this sorry" says cashier.
Typical that this was just gone 6:00 and head office had closed, otherwise they wouldve been calling.
Exactly the same happenned to me tonight and its only my second voucher! Cashier called the supervisor and told me exactly same story. She also said I had to pay by cash or card and then I would be able to use my new voucher. All this told to me in front of a queue of shoppers. Felt really humiliated and was extremely nervous anyway. Just paid for my goods and left.0 -
Yes, I am in Aberdeen and my tesco is still open 24/7 as normal0

You should complain to a higher department. 'No cash value' means you can't exchange the voucher with like for like cash - ie £20 voucher for a £20 note. How are people supposed to use this scheme if you can't use the generated voucher for further shopping?? Don't be put off - be more determined.DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0 -
Okay, let's assume you have eyes:
1. Look at the post count of the member in question. The number you are looking for is their total post count.
2. Now, look for the number of times they have been thanked.
3. Divide 1 by 2 and you have Simon's approximation.
I thank you in advance, kind sir. Your words of wisdom have brought great encouragement to all on here in their times of need. Without you, we would not be here today. I feel honoured to be helping a member who has helped so many others with their courageous comments in the face of adversity, their altruistic passion for ensuring others are armed with the information they need to pursue their double-the-difference careers and for your insightful, majestic postings such as the one above.
I, for one, am humbled by your mere presence here.
Out of curiosity, why would you divide total posts by thanks to get the thanks ratio ? - doing this would mean your your ratio would DECREASE the more thanks you got, surely should be thanks divided by number of posts, which in Berbastrikes case would be just over 2, not 0.5 as was suggested. If you use your method adamcchance , your own thanks ratio would be 0.24, whereas it would be 4.1 the other way round.
Not getting involved in the argument, only interested in the Maths!!:)0 -

I'd def give it another go, don't give up so easily.
Lots of people on this thread alone have been given such random off the cuff excuses & reasons why things can't be done so imagine how many others there are who don't even post here!
Not sure if anyone has any email confirmation that a DTD receipt can be used against a new shop but if so it may be worth 'borrowing' & taking along with you to educate said staff member.
Not bought a single egg yet! Haven't even looked into the best offers.0 -

Dont give up, complain to Head office.
T&C ' s state:
22. To use your vouchers in store, vouchers must be presented together with your original receipt and can be redeemed off the cost of your next shop at the checkouts. You must retain your original receipt as vouchers are not valid without the original receipt. Photocopied receipts will not be accepted.
So your reply to the 'trout' is that i am adhering to the T&C's by redeeming my voucher against my next shop.
