  • I 'thank' people on an entirely random basis when I'm catching up on posts of an afternoon. Some of the posts I thank are completely nonsensical, but I like the idea of someone coming across such a post and wondering why on earth someone has 'thanked' them for it.

WARNING: Disruption of thank ratio in progress.

    ACTION: Disruptor found and quarantined.

I popped in to morrisons today and got a couple of bits have not been in to any where but Tesco for weeks but managed to get in and out in 5 minutes I have lost all interst in cheap things and offers where as before DTD I would have looked around I just grabbed what I needed.
When this is over will we be able to get back to ordinary shopping
This is the reason that DTD will run for some considerable time yet IMO.

I'm still trying to work out who the guy is in your avatar - is it the guy from the original Saw movie? Possibly in Lost as well (although I didn't watch that so may be wrong) or Prison Break or some US drama series?

:) Nooooo that's berbastrike pic! he's always off filming somewhere instead of posting, that's why he has a low thank ratio ;)

Been lurking here for a week now. What more can I say, I haven't had this much fun shopping in years. Usually my good lady has got to drag me round the shop screaming and kicking. Now - 2 shops a day, every day.

Except tomorrow that is, going to do a tour of 3 Tescos, and pop into a certain DIY superstore in the middle of it all.

Got a kitchen full of dishwasher tabs, fabric conditioner (that is the one thing that I normally grudge paying for, normally so expensive !). The one thing I seem to have missed out on big time was the meat, never really plucking up the courage to go for the lamb and the fact that the beef was normally "Scottish" put me off a bit.

Tomorrows targets are stock some wine, see if I can track down that elusive Pizza and rack of lamb that my local store never seems to have in and grab the dogs a few months supply of food and treats.

    Hi all,

After several weeks of DTD shopping, running multiple vouchers a day, I have decided to call it a day. I have done very well out of this promotion, bending the rules here and there and had loads of fun and banter with the staff at my three local Tesco stores.

I have enough Wine, meat, crisps, coke, dishwasher tabs, dolmio, detergent and candles to last me for a long time, i have been shopping to help bring down future shopping bills and I will be relieved to ne able to get back to normality!

I am off to Cornwall on Sat for a short Easter break and not being able to do my DTD shops for a week has finally helped me make the decision to thow in the towel.

A massive thanks to all that have contributed to the threads and an extra big thanks to the people that created and maintain the spreadsheet, I'm sure I speak for us all in regards to that!

I will be off to Tesco tomorrow to kill off 5 vouchers on the 4 boxes of beer for £25 offer and the latest NOW album to listen to on our 5 hour drive to the coast at the weekend :-)

Good luck to those who will keep going until this promotion ends, have fun and stock the cupboards, garage, loft and spare room!

    It's been emotional.

There are Tescos in Wadebridge, Truro, Redruth, Camborne, Helston and if I remember rightly - St Ives. Plus probably a few others I have forgotten - it's been 3 years since I lived down in Cornwall.

Just thought I'd davise. I mean, you never know when the DTD fever strikes.....:rotfl:
