    :)
Do you have to buy over a specific weight with the rack of lamb like you do with the beef joint? Or will all sizes work for dtd?

I have been successful with a range of sizes (£6 - £9 ish) so I don't think it matters.

Ok, so who's been to the Basingstoke Chineham Tescos and emptied all the Wolf Blass Chardonnay today??

Went along with my best mate, list in hand, vouchers in hand - both of us requiring a bottle of Wolf Blass (for me really, but he's a good best mate like that), and then ............ none!

Had to do my best maths and calculations to try and figure out what I was going to replace it with, and the only thing I could think of was the Wilkinson Sword Bikini trimmer.

So my poor best mate (a male in his 40's) goes to the till, glaring at me all the time whilst handing over a bikini trimmer :D

Bring back some decent vino deals!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:That has just made me giggle!!!!!
  • it doesn't matter what the weight is ;)

Thank you so much, I have been on this thread all day to find the answer, thank you so much you are a twinkly star!

I wasn't recognised today cos its a store I've only used about 3 times in the last 6 weeks - but I did get some flack from a CA who said she was fed up with the bloomin things! Perhaps we need to scale down just a bit to let our faces fade from memory - alternatively just front the perishers out as I guess our days are numbered so we should take what we can before the dreaded axe falls. Hard to know what to do for the best really.

You are right. The only way I have found to get around the issue is disguise. Here is me Sat, Sun, Mon and Tue. Nobody batted an eyelid. ;)

  • Can anyone confirm whether there is a weight restriction on the rack of lamb to claim dtd? I saw racks of lambs at 0.279 around £6.75 ish, would this work?

I've had a £6-ish rack, and a £9-ish one work on the same trip a couple of weeks ago. HTH :D

I do think that the list we have is becoming shorter. Slowly the deals are drying up. Perhaps they have done all their research and now using here ( and other forums) to tighten up.
I'm not sure that's true. Some of the popular deals have ended but then special offers always do come and go. Imo it's more a case that because we're living in Tesco we don't necessarily know what's cheaper in Asda. I've got an Asda near me and may make a special visit (with a notebook!) at the weekend.
  • Mine was next day. Did you write the order or customer number on the back?

No, he took the original delivery note with him that had all that information on. Typically it was a driver who'd NEVER seen one before (in fact i'd never seen him before......)
