If they sign the new receipt then you cannot use it for another DTD

Not seen this myself yet but if they ask you for a clubcard and demand one just ask for a temporary one, problem solved :)

I tried that today but it didn't work. The trout (a supervisor one) insisted that the voucher could only be used with a clubcard. I asked for one but she said that a temporary clubcard wasn't allowed and that it must be a registered one

    Another tescoism :(

A quick call should get the manager a slap on his derrière and you a gift card.

It is often difficult shopping on a Sunday or after 6. If at all possible go other times in future. My only non event was of a Sunday.

do you mean its worse when they're not busy?
also alot more younger people on during the day, i have also found that SA's and managers have been more awkward on a sun afternoon near closing and evenings

    Interesting Reply from Tesco

The strange thing is that in the end the store will no longer sign new receipt!

I wonder if that will be the new rule, that if you used a voucher and the receipt that matches that voucher and shows a coupon they will refuse it. If that is the case the price check is rubbish and not worth shopping with tesco as asda would be still cheaper lol

    not necessarily....

....i've always shopped at tesco and the majority of products i buy are from their value range; so i know their prices will be equal to asda's.

my weekly shop is around £20, so if i buy buy a DTD shop a couple of days before; then i'll use my £20 voucher to buy me normal weekly shop.

therefore, i will have got a few products for free and some extra clubcard points.

this won't be the case for everyone, but i'll be making use of their offer this becomes the case.

    :)

    Hi both,
Were the toothbrushes with all the other toothbrushes? Only last time I checked they only had the ones with the batteries visible, would be great to be able to pick one up on my next shop. TIA :)

they are on the end of the toothbrush aisle - on the bottom shelf - i left 5 there :D
the battery pack ones are above them i think.

    hth.

You do know how much 70kg is don't you??

I'm a skinny lil thing me, been asking all day and no one has answered whether there is a weight restriction on the rack of lamb, I know there is on the beef joint where it has to be over 1kg...

You would think that doing a weekly shop, getting a voucher from it and using that towards your next weekly shop would be perfectly acceptable....if they are saying you cant do this then their whole promotion is rubbish!!

I would say "My partner has the only clubcard on her keyring as she normally does shopping. Also where on the t's & c's does it state I must have a clubcard?"

Ok, so who's been to the Basingstoke Chineham Tescos and emptied all the Wolf Blass Chardonnay today??

Went along with my best mate, list in hand, vouchers in hand - both of us requiring a bottle of Wolf Blass (for me really, but he's a good best mate like that), and then ............ none!

Had to do my best maths and calculations to try and figure out what I was going to replace it with, and the only thing I could think of was the Wilkinson Sword Bikini trimmer.

So my poor best mate (a male in his 40's) goes to the till, glaring at me all the time whilst handing over a bikini trimmer :D

Bring back some decent vino deals!
