    Help please...I need some therapy!!
I had a nasty trout experience on Monday, and now I have really lost my nerve..
I went into store just to kill off a couple of vouchers..and suddenly found myself surrounded by a scholl of trouts, honestly it was like something out of a Jaws movie. They accused me of doing 'an usually suspious amount of dtd shops' over the weekend (ok, so I did a handful..), they then waved a bunch of vouchers at me, which they said were mine. I explained that I was doing additional shops for MIL & SIL who wanted to take part in the offer alongside me. They then had the cheek to say that I couldn't do this and that my eldery MIL had to physically come to the store to participate. Ok, I admit that I am perhaps pushing the 'spirit of the promotion' a little, but I found their attitude really quite nasty. The biggest trout relented and said that I could use my vouchers 'on this occasion'...(I think this was because she couldn't think of anything else to say). They all proceeded to walk back to their swamp, but not before one of them menacingly said that 'they were investigating this!!.....'. I was really quite offended by their attitude and part of me wants to give up completely as I don't need this kind of abuse.......but another part of me wants to really rip the !!! off Tesco!! Does anyone else feel the same?

I'm sorry you had a hard time but, to be honest, I'm not too surprised. Quite a few people are pushing the limits a little bit too hard and are getting noticed instore. (That comment is not specifically aimed at you so please don't take offence, its not meant that way). I suppose that to start with we all played pretty much according to the one voucher per household per day rule (well for a day or so anyway) but we've got a bit blase about is as its become clear that a lot of staff have no idea of the 'rules'. Now we are beginning to feel the kickback when our faces are recognised.

I wasn't recognised today cos its a store I've only used about 3 times in the last 6 weeks - but I did get some flack from a CA who said she was fed up with the bloomin things! Perhaps we need to scale down just a bit to let our faces fade from memory - alternatively just front the perishers out as I guess our days are numbered so we should take what we can before the dreaded axe falls. Hard to know what to do for the best really.

The world is full of people throwing stones at us. Its what you do with them that counts. Build a wall or build a bridge.
  • gggrrr i have spent nearly an hour going round and round in circles, has anyone got an htc mozart phone and has been able to get the dtd app on their phone? i get so far, then nothing. (i must admit though i don't actually know what i'm doing:o)

HTC runs windows, not android which is what the app was made for.

Blinkin HTCs, have a HTC HD2 which refuses to load anymore, guess that's windows for you, what if Tesco made smartphones eh?

A quick call should get the manager a slap on his derrière and you a gift card.

It is often difficult shopping on a Sunday or after 6. If at all possible go other times in future. My only non event was of a Sunday.

Many thanks for the advice.... how else can I fit 4 shops in a day though?????? :rotfl::rotfl:
  • Hanging round the beef section inspecting the bar codes for the top side/top rump silverside joint.
There were joints that had the same label as the photo on the spread sheet and was £8.48 kilo
    bar code was not 02365
Has any one had the beef with another bar code that works - -too expensive to buy without dtd.

( I am still a bit tentative as only just got my first coupon today - i was so nervous at putting it through , I thought of all thetrouts that used to hate the coupons before black friday. )

    thanks for any help

PS a big thanks to all who have input on the thread even my mum was impressed and she hasnt done a dtd yet !
