evening all
another lovely warm day here
given Froddy's sad post I am not going to moan - suffice to say I am tired and out of sorts but nothing that wont pass I am sure.froddington wrote: »Could I please call on some of the wonderful flylady vibes?
I've just been on FB and the 8 year old daughter of a friend of mine had a biopsy today and is starting chemo.
Thoughts and prayers for Meggie would be really appreciated xx
SSL awh honey how blooming frustrating Sorry you didn't get the job- there must be a better one waiting for you. And it is their loss - they dont know what they are missing xx:T:T well done getting the polling day job - its something - remember to take a book - if its a quiet station you could be bored!!!
piggers cant OH take squeak out for a walk - 2 birds 1 stone - you can get on and he just might get her to quieten down?
happier can you get DD to gut her room while she is grounded? or at least help you so that she can learn what needs to be done and do a share?
JoJo sounds like you need to get tough with the 'slug' - can you do like the others and remove favourite things until she has earned them? I hope you are wrong re your DLA but it wont do any harm to start living on what you get just now excluding the DLA and see how that goes?
cheap date - family discussion needed and jobs allocated according to ages - have to be done daily and or weekly and not when they feel like it - get them started now so that by the time baby arrives things are in place - they are never to young to learn - just need the right incentive -like time on the laptop or at the tv or pocket money - if all else fails confiscate/ban things until the work is done - it takes a few goes but if you stay firm (and your OH) then it will work.
awh honey thats hard on you both - I hope the hospital stay goes smoothly and the ABs help (((hugs)))
greenbee hope you have sorted out things with your mother
Dusty hope you survived the plan changes today - I dont like it either - Mother changed her plans for today too:mad: I too would have been well miffed and would have told OH that in future he will be helping his sons too - that is definately out of bounds!! Well done for being calm and sorting it out - I would have jumped straight in!! Kill first and ask questions later:rotfl: I too had a 'bad' dream last night which has left me low.
aj put on your ipod so you dont hear and then you can ignore her - just wave and point at your ears now and then:D
LW well the Queen has 2 birthdays so why not you?:D
mummyyo5 (((hugs))) hope you get it sortedAnd just how are you cooking them? On the barbecue with the stuff you bought earlier, basic roast or slow roasted casserole? :rotfl:
Only joking Toots xxx
:rotfl: well I could be disrespectful and say that a certain person would probably turn out to be a tough old bird - but I wont say that!!!:D
Hi Aunty its been slow to start most day but usually by 11 its been really nice - I cant complain xx
Triker awh honey - sorry to hear about silkie (((hugs))) and sorry to hear about DD1 as well - that will be tough on you all - you will really need to be hard with everyone about doing their bit angel - huge sqishy (((hugs)))
MrsChaos (((hugs))) it will sort itself out one way or another honey - your face was being honest!!! Be firm - remember the plans you made at the start of the year - stick with the program!
boddy (((hugs))) for difficult situations
piggers huge squishy (((hugs))) for Sally - that is so sad:(

sammr85 well since you got married I suppose we had better excuse your absence;) - congratulations to you both - hope you will be very happy - we are not doing lists of names at the moment so just jump in and get started:D
the AnW crew have had a great week and A & Mum even washed the caravan today:eek::T they will be heading back tomorrow so no doubt will be online soon.
I had a quick visit this am from a friend which was nice.

I think I stalled on the flying again today, didn't actually get much done. Although I had a feeling I wouldn't as DH is home.
Oh I did get DH to cut my hair shorter as it was really annoying me during this heat - it's not that long anyway but when I kept getting hot it would stick to the back of my neck. So I wanted it to skim just above the neck.. He did a really lovely job too I must say
We did go into town and have a nice lunch at our local greasy joesAnd I bought some really nice thank you/note cards from Card Factory. I like to keep a selection in just in case
I also treated Dh to some new t-shirts and a pair of converse trainers (I think that's what they are called!). Not sure why I did this as he is the one with the money and not me.. :rotfl:
Tomorrow I am hoping to finish the ironing pile, which will NOT stop growing for some reason..lol
juliejim I must be so sad as I darn DH's socks - purely because they were expensive and I refuse to throw them away when they get a hole in. When they are full of darned holes then I might consider it..lol But he does have other socks that when they get too tacky I do throw them away
Hugs and love to everyone, and lots of spoons, especially to LL, Toots, LW and anyone else that wants them.

Evening Toots - glad you are coping and don't worry true to form I ranted and raved and stropped first and then sorted it out 3 hours later, remember we are related.
Greenbee would have loved to meet up but we have to head over to Bishop Stortford at 10:30 am. Are you passing on the way back?
I'm yawning so time for bed, sleep tight friends. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

piggers huge squishy (((hugs))) for Sally - that is so sad:(
Put the baby in her pushchair!!! How dare you suggest such a thing... the poor child would be horrified!! She hates the pushchair more than the car seat!!! I am trying to get him to take her swimming I'm sure they'd both love it.. and I'd stay at home! Even an hours time off would be lovely as much as I do love them both I really need a bit of time and I think 1-2-1 time together would really benefit them both.
Sally will get there, she is just tired and a bit down.. she's bouncy and I'm sure she'll not give up that easily, she's only 30 so a few years left yet.. thanks all xx
next time I stand up and head to the kitchen I am getting the sewing machine out to do DD2's curtains.... there, I've typed it now I have to do it!
I got a silver curtain pole earlier so I now just need the curtains
DS1 is coming to paint the fence tomorrow apparently.. that should keep him occupied a bit.
Front room and hallway vacuumed.. once DS1 has removed his gubbins from the middle room I am going to wash the carpet in there and the one in the front room which is nasty!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
have washed again today- too nice a day to miss the chance to hang it out to dry!!!
OH managed to get to the end of the ironing pile (he did half yesterday), I did the last few bits and luckily he'd left a skirt and a pair of trousers that both needed the hems fixing so I did them with bondaweb, worked a treat!! It was a mammoth pile two whole baskets full and over flowing....
Apart from that I have cooked and washed up and that is all.....must do better tomorrow.....Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0 -

Evening all (night really I suppose).
Hope you feel better tomorrow Soappie.
Got two loads of washing dried today. Unpacked last box of stuff for kitchen cupboards. Got wall clock and picture put up (with much complaining and swearing from DH). Took old table apart ready to go to the tip next week.
Would have been on here earlier but DD2 tried to install a programme for her MP3 player and I think my computer really hated it and we had endless trouble. It wouldn't uninstall and we finally had to do a system restore. Then I found my volume icon missing but I restarted and was then able to add it to the taskbar. All good fun. Remind me never to let her do that again.
I've only skimmed the last few pages so I hope people are OK. I thought the weather was supposed to hold all weekend but my barometer is going down towards rain.

Evening everyone,
Flying around town this morning, getting my hair put up, and getting a thank you card and present for my Mum for making our wedding cupcakes. We've had issues with the software for the new camera being difficult, so I've not been able to post pictures yet. Thank you to Juliejim for remembering my reception. It all went quite well, although they didn't have the promised TV and DVD player to play our wedding DVD on (good job we brought a small one of our own in case), and they also charged twice for the corkage (my Dad paid at the bar, and we didn't know, and they charged us too at the reception desk). They were really incompetent, and I certainly wouldn't recommend them to anyone! On a positive note, the food was nice, and I think everyone had a good time - it was nice to see a few people that we've not seen in a long time, and this afternoon I went to my Nana's house to show her my dress etc, and she was thrilled, as she was too ill to go to the reception itself. Moon took some video and pictures of me and Nana, and as she's 94, and has Alzheimers, we will treasure this.
I've got lots of HHCs to do tomorrow to try and clear up the mess I made whilst doing my makeup etc today, as it ended up scattered upstairs and down.
I'm looking forward to a lie-in tomorrow as it's the weekend, but Moon has to go to work still, which is a shame - still I get him all to myself on Sunday and Monday!
Hugs to all who are going through tough times at the moment, and love to LadyL, toots, serena, and all of my flylady friends.
