Well, I'm afraid no more of the week's lists got done today.:(

However, the lounge curtains have been washed, line-dried, and re-hung. They're great big heavy full length things, and have to be done one at a time, as they won't both fit in the machine together, so that's a good job jobbed.;)

Also, Mr LW and I did 2 hours hard labour in the front garden, and he's cut all the grass, front and back. So the garden refuse wheelie is full to overflowing!:D

I was hoping to have a little sit on the patio to do my brain training; unfortunately, next door decided to have a BBQ, and it smelt so awful, I nearly threw up,_pale_ so that was that idea scuppered.:(

Anyways, we got the mobility scooter out and tested the new batteries with an hour and a half trundle round the redways.:o

Mr LW is now doing a jigsaw, and, I suspect, waiting to be fed!

Valli we got the suitcases out of the loft without any problem with using the new ladder; I've taken a few pics, and it's my intention to pm you with more detailed info - hopefully some time over the weekend or early next week, depending on my spoons available!;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Hello everyone on this lovely sunny bank holiday!

Who are the flyladies that keep bees? We've discovered a nest in the airvent above the french doors. As the doors have been open this week I have had several bees in the kitchen/dining room. I'm ok with this as I like bees but it does freak out DS3.

We've had a lovely day. We went to Lakeside at the crack of dawn. DH took the little ones to Ikea and DD1 and me We found DD1 a dress for my niece's hen do but they didn't have it in her size (6). The Debenhams website doesn't have it either. They searched local stores to no avail - It's all a bit pointless as I can't drive for a few more weeks! I have to check the website daily to catch it when it's in stock (insert rolleyes smilie).

MIL came up when DH was at football with the big ones. We have discussed in detail the Crete Wedding. It's now a big fat Crete wedding as my niece is expecting. She will have 7 weeks to go on her wedding day and thinks she will fit in her dress that was ordered for her normal size 8 pre-pregnancy. I think we will all be heading to Crete minus the bride!

    Happy Easter everyone x

    Huge hugs Dusty xxx

Oh Vallie - "Ensor" and Pilsley - you have me pining for Derbyshire! One of my strategies to get out of this horrible financial place I'm in right now is to sell up and run away to Derbyshire...

Awww Triker - RIP your Silkie - I bet you'll miss her. Each one has their own personality doesn't it?

Piggers - hugs for Sally's IVF - hope the next one is successful....

Well, the best laid plans of mice and men and all that. Yesterday, I planned that today I would get a real crack at spring cleaning. What happens? The hayfever I though I had the last couple of days has turned into a horrible head cold.

I have spent the day pottering then resting, then pottering then snoozing, then pottering then resting a bit more. I fell yuk.... Even when NN came round for Friday night gin and gossip I was off my grog - not like me at all!

Even worse, she said she was going to the supermarket in the morning and did I need anything. I gave her a v. short list of 3 essential items but I feel dreadful. Normally, I'm doing the shopping for her!

But I have done washing throughout the day and fed the line with it. I now just need to change my bedding, pop it in the washer and then crawl into bed.

I really ought to have some dinner but I can't be mithered. .... I was glad I made the quiche yesterday, the remains came in handy for lunch...

    ~atishoo~

Hope all are better than I am right now....

Likewise we have a Debenhams in town and I need to take something back on Monday so no problem to look.

Day went really well and visit was good so now feel very stupid for making so much fuss :o I really don't know what gets into me sometimes, think it was just a really tough week with the kids with no support from OH.

DS3 is playing in his first major squash tournament tomorrow (County open so players from across the country). Any coping vibes greatly received as I will be on tenter hooks as he is such a sore looser.

OH can tidy the kitchen I've done 2 DW loads already today.

Boddy I hope the family situation with GS1 can be sorted

Serena hope the boys enjoyed their BBQ

    Evening,

    Have done lots today.
Ironing, then went into town whilst DH cut the grass.
Hoovered top to bottom, then did the kitchen floor on my hands and knees - it was that bad!
Gutted the back bedroom and cleaned it. Even cleaned the wooden venetian blind and the windows.
Change the bed and it is now fit for DM tomorrow.
Also had a lovely walk round Ridgewater reservoir and stopped with our butties and a bottle of fizzy water which went everywhere :rotfl:
Called into BQ on the way back for some geraniums and DH has planted them.
Had a lovely 'ready indian meal' from sainsbugs which was a bargain and there was masses.
Have made a simnel type cake, and that is in the oven now. :T
Off to the hairdressers in the morning to have my roots done, but I can't remember what time. I will have to ring them first thing. I've a feeling it's 10 or 10.30? I HATE going. I'd sooner stick pins in my eyes. The joys of being grey
DH is driving over to Liverpool to pick DM up in the morning. Hmm.
Right off to watch tv or read.

    Sorry about Sally Piggers.

Hope everyone else has resolved any issues they may have.
    Tomorrow is another day.
Hugs to anyone who wants one.

ETA - I won't be going to Manchester Debs, but I will probably be in the Weymouth one next week.

    Evening all

Not much flying done today and I already feel tired, despite my massive lie-in. However, I've sorted the budget for next month and applied for a loan to sort out my credit cards and take care of a few urgent jobs in the house (starting with the guttering) - both of those took up lots more time than expected. I should be debt-free 3 years from now, though. :D

Tonight I've still got the kitchen to tidy after cooking tea and two beds need sorting with fresh bedding. A collleague/friend has asked me to get in touch, too, so I'd best find out the answers to her questions before phoning.

After that I'll either do some marking or go to bed with a cuppa and my book. Probably the latter, so I can get up at a more sensible time. I'll see you all in the morning.
