Its been another busy week so going to enjoy the long weekend.
Dailies done
Curry made
Shopping done.
Going to DDs shortly with the eggs for GDDs. I read the post about half siblings with interest. My sister, my brother and I all have different fathers and the half word was never mentioned. GS1 has 3 DDs to different mums and at the moment 2 of those are creating havoc for GS1. Using the girls in their issues with GS1 including the fact to the girls they are just half sisters. Its awful when they use children in this way. I feel for DD as she never has a moment free from worry and cries because she cant see GD2. Im trying not to worry too much as I know the situation will change again. Sorry to offload it just all came out there.
froddy Glad you had a good time and thoughts and prayers for Meggie.
LW belated birthday greetings.

:hello:Hi to all my flylady friends.
dusty - glad the retail therapy worked. I met DD in town, and just got even crosser with all the people! She was having a work trial at Clark's - and has been offered the job! Only weekend shifts, and on trial for three months at first, but she's very pleased.
I'd be out in the garden, but it's full to overflowing with DS2 and assorted friends having a barbecue. The mad cat lady from two doors over has already complained about the music. In fact, she used such foul, abusive language that my immediate neighbour had a go at her.... I told them to turn it back on again. I'll be having a very frosty word if she swears again at my kids and their guests. (I'm a very considerate neighbour, they've already asked the nearest ones, and also it's only the second or third time in a whole year that I've let them have music outside)
I've been very busy today, clearing a whole pile of garden rubbish to the tip, ready for the barbecue (I know that at 17 they're most unlikely to care - I do!). Very little done inside though.
We were in France for the day yesterday, it was a really lovely day!
Lots of family things over the next couple of days.... better squeeze in some planning though.
hex - you definitely need another wisteria.:p;):D:D Another vote for Harlan Coben. I like Kathy Reichs, but not Patricia Cornwell. I've liked the Peter James ones set in Brighton, but not his others. I've also come across Mark Billingham recently, and thought he was good. I'm a little concerned by my liking for violent crime reading in my leisure time - I think it may stop me throttling some of the little charmers during the day.:cool:It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

That could explain a large chunk of my bookcases' contents.
I suppose the fantasy stuff is to wish myself very far away...
Slow progress being made. I've put some more washing out and got dragged into a conversation with other neighbour, who was sitting with her DGD2 (31 weeks pg, same year in school as my DS1 ). WM now on with bedding, DW emptied and re-loaded, more clothes put away/passed on to respective owners for putting away, homes found for yesterday's shopping (found a rather nice perfume called viva la juicy, but a bit too expensive at the moment), DS2 and I fed lunch.
DH is back and seems a bit happier (thanks, dusty), but not much. DS1 is out. I'll go back to pottering in a moment and might even venture outside for a bit. I could do with putting my little greenhouse up so I can finally sow some seeds - all the boxes from the £shop are cluttering up a chair in the LR.
Back in a bit. x0 -

I'll join you. In my last one I dusted TV stand and hoover whole house (extended it to 1hour) DH cut front lawn & old lady's next door, he has also washed all kitchen cupboards down. I have also sorted out hat/gloves basket and threw away 9 odd gloves. :eek:0 -
I decided to dyson behind the sofas. Big mistake. I found some horrible mould. My house is full of the blooming stuff. I am having great fun with my rediscovered label machine. I have labelled all the plugs in the LR. Also tidied out some baskets and am about to do menu planning for next week as I'm taking Mum to the shops tonight.
