You lost one phone that didn't belong to you and sold another. Selling goods that don't belong to you is known as resetting. resetting stolen goods.

the op told the sisters bf they had lost the replacement phone when in actual fact they had sold it on ebay and pocketed the proceeds

Such entertaining reading - I do hope the op is a troll, to believe people like this truly exist would be so depressing

Just in case - op you are a nasty relationship wrecking thief who has committed insurance fraud. All so you could go to Thailand, I would be ashamed to have you as my sister.

OP, thanks for the lulz. :money:

Either you are a troll or you are a ruddy idiot. I hope for your sake, the former.

You have just failed on epic proportions.

Ever thought of becoming the prime minister ? I think you're really intelligent.

I understand your family would take your side but do they actually know the full story - ie that you lied about sending the chap his phone and actually sold it (but are expecting him to commit fraud by claiming money bay from Royal Mail)

In fact, would you be happy for them to read what you have written in this thread?

Who doesn't? The Royal Mail for not delivering the parcel that was never sent, or the insurance company for not providing free upgrades to the serial insurance fraudster?

I vote this goes into Martin's email as the real life money moral dilemma this week.
If you think of it as 'us' verses 'them', then it's probably your side that are the villains.

The OP might have lied to their sister's boyfriend about posting the phone back to him but that doesn't mean they've lied to us about anything.

    Yes its for real

The OP says it's real, therefore it must be real ... who am I to call them a liar? Of course if it's all a wind up then they didn't lie to their sister's boyfriend and are more trustworthy for that fact, so it must be real by that logic too.
