la i have second hand clothes, and i love it on the 'what have you spent' when you post of your bargains... i have second hand clothes and proud to say i do, as you say its the whole green thing. Some people i know are so throw away its unbelivable. I get most of my clothes from ebay or the smart price range in asda :rotfl: £1.50 for a t shirt you can never go wrong ~ actually i am sat here now in smart price knickers (3 for £1) and a night dress that was in a sale for £2... i am not a girle girl so as long as i am covered i have no problems if its 50p in a charity shop i will buy it if its £55 in a normal shop no way. I think every thing in my tiny wardrobe cost less than £50... i have no idea how you ladies spend £55 on a pair of shoes/a handbag... i have shoes for £10 or under except my skater trainers which are £49 and i have had the pair i have now for 4 years ~ time for a new pair me thinks :rotfl:
anyways to sum it up i am proud of you girlie, and carry on getting your bargians :j0 -
Thanks you guys.
PAP = my friend was telling me about a man she saw on that programme about the rubbish dump...he used to throw clothes away after one wear!
That's bordering on insane I'm sure.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

yes that was his underwear and they wernt cheap they were big named brands  and what makes it worse was he lives in my neck of the woods :rotfl:See i am the wrong way around and although i havent got many clothes i hord them, i still have a jacket that 9 years old (and still wear it daily) and trouser i used to wear to school ~ if they fit and are easily repaired when broke why throw them out0 -

When I have to buy clothes (can't often afford to, obviously) I try and go for classic cut suits and dresses that are timeless -some of my clothes are almost 20 years old, but because I bought classic, they still look good, and when worn with coloured cheap primark/asda/tesco t shirts etc, I can adapt the look easily!
I love charity shop stuff - have picked up some real bargains in the past.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I'm really looking forward to the weekend.....I can't wait to go for a trawl around now!
Unfortunately I am feeling a bit rubbish tummy wise tonight - I am hoping it's all gone by the weekend. It can't spoil my plans!

consider me throwing out the recipe that you posted yesterday!!! hope the tum gets better soon!
back to the clothes discussion, pap I paid £40 for a handbag from monsoon and £6 for a purse to match. Had guilt pangs at the time of purchase but absolutely love it and wouldn't have taken it back.
(just in case your interested http://www.monsoon.co.uk/invt/18946735)
I know it's quite a lot of money even though I'm dent free (;)) but it's not something I'd buy regularly and I'm always on the hunt for a bargain, but sometimes it#s nice to splash out. IF I had the money and the lack of sense I'd spend crazy amounts on clothes and stuff!!!0 -
LOL at the recipe thing! :rotfl:
It wasn't that I promise. There has been a tummy bug at work doing the rounds over the last few weeks and it feels like I've been hit a little as my tummy is really not 100%.
I reckon if it wasn't for my healthy veggie diet I'd be a lot worse than this as I've seen colleagues running from the room to the toilet!
Anyway about that healthy veggie diet...I have some jaffa cakes in the fridge.......do I think I can manage one?
Right off to check out the Monsoon link....just to be nosy like.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
