Well now. VERY disappointed with shopping trip today.

I went out armed with £20 to spend in the second hand shops and found b*gger all.

Well I got fiancé a work shirt which is very similar to the sort he wears now anyway and it was pristine and I do mean pristine (wouldn't have bought it otherwise) and he will give me the money back for that (£4.50).

But nowt for me - not a (veggie) sausage.

I went into H & M though and saw a funky grey & black striped jumper/dress type thing for £9.99 which I thought was a very fair price indeed as it looks ace. It will go really well with some of my work trousers (black) and actually compliments my waist! So off to the till I went with my money and that was purchased.

Also got my new little niece a really cool babygrow and some little booties from H & M too which I can take down to her in London next weekend - can't wait to see her.

Went into John Lewis to check out the reductions - and nearly fainted. And I mean seriously nearly fainted. I suddenly felt really ill then got all hot, thought I was going to throw up, thought I was going to faint. Steadied myself on a clothes rail then, grabbed something - anything - to try an and went into changing room and calmed down for 5 minutes. Felt OK after that.

I keep thinking I am OK then I feel !!!! again. Very annoying.

What else - oh yes I resisted buying some boots in M &S . They are the pull on sort, in very soft chocolate brown material with a wedge hell. They looked so nice around my ankles - I was smitten. But I cannot justify buying them right now. Perhaps after next pay day. I must sort out what I would wear them with first and if I can't find at least two things then I won't even consider buying them.

Anyway I am off to start cooking some dinner now before the new series of Strictly Come Dancing starts (yes it's that time of year again!).

Tonight's dinner is roasted tomatoes, mushrooms and whatever else veggie wise I bought (can't remember - might be courgette & pepper?) whipped up with some soya cream and served with pasta & black pepper.

Must also hang out some washing to dry (economy wash of course!) - taking advantage of the dry weather.

Hope everyone is OK and having a good, productive, fun (delete as applicable) weekend.

LJ - I truly hope you had a lovely birthday and that the wedding was memorable. (For all the right reasons!)

    Bye for now.

    LA xx
