Minnie that is a cracking picture!
"Neigh-baaas" - hoho! Very good.
Update girls update! The eyelash curlers arrived this morning (Mooz you were right).
I didn't have time to test it this morning so will be rushing home at 5pm to remove mascara and play with new toy!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

OK so I got home and used it!
Well, it was not quite as easy as I thought it would be, probably because I am a bit flinchy when it comes to eyes and anything or anyone getting near mine.
However I had a go!
It made my eyes water a bit, I think I need to practice with the wand.
I didn't use it then pull the wand away and think "WOW!" which maybe I had psyched myself up for. But again, it may just be practice that is needed.
I put some mascara on afterwards but my lashes didn't seem *that* much different to what they look like with mascara on anyway?
I will play around some more (and hope that it wasn't a waste of money!).
Moozie, do you think yours makes a difference, did it take you a while to get used to it etc?Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Hiya LA, I am a new reader and have read through your entries to date - well done you! Very inspiring to see you hack away at the credit card etc and really change spending habits as well as getting family and OH onboard etc.
I remember you started using MS Money but didn't mention it much after that - I use it if you want to pick my brains? Also the links in my siggy may be useful - I will drop by again soon as am now subscribed xMFW #185

Hi there Eager Learner!
I might take you up on that Money thing at some point. I just couldn't see it telling me anything I didn't already know so I didn't use it again. But, I may have another stab at it for general day to day stuff in the Summer when overdraft is clear.
Deliciosa & LJ: Yes I hope it's just practice! The gadget was *only* £3.60 (ouch, can hear my DFW angel tutting at that....) so not the end of the world if it doesn't make a huge difference but, well, y'know, I want it to make a difference!
I'll keep practicing.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

La on the scale of debt bustin that you've done £3.60 really is nothing. I spent that on junk/comfort food this evening so I think mine was a worse spend as I'll now need to spend thousands on liposuction! :rotfl:
Tell your dfw angel to lighten up a little, you deserve a treat!0 -
LOL @ LJ.
"...thousands on liposuction..."
I think NOT. Sheeesh some people just don't know how gorgeous they are do they?
Anyway my DFW angel is still having kittens about the £20 I spent today on a new top and a bracelet!
You're right I did have a major push on the credit card clearance didn't I? I seem to be cutting myself a lot of slack right now.
But look at the state of that overdraft!
This debt clearance malarkey, I swear it's like painting the Forth Rail Bridge y'know?
I know I'll knuckle down soon enough though....Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

cheers LA but the button came off my combats yesterday, I'm defo putting a little weight back on, ah wel will just have to work out harder and get my eating sorted when things ease off a little.
As for your debt busting, yes you made a huge push to clear those credit cards, and I bet sometimes you pushed yourself too hard? yeah thought so! So what your doing now is just a little break, a rest from the hard hard work, a little reward shall we call it. Then once your ready you'll get stuck into that overdraft. I know how hard it is to get out of the mindset of moneysaving and allow yourself a treat, but in the long run it keeps you going.
You always tell me to ease off on myself, well take a little of your own advice! Take a little time/money to treat yourself then get stuck into that overdraft! But don't worry if you take too much to treat yourself we'll be quick enough to tell you!

Night LJ.
And for what it's worth, I actually agree with you!
I absolutely know, cos it feels like it in my bones, that right now I am spending money on myself because I've not spent much at all for bloody months (hair & skin products excluded) and I'm just relaxing a bit.
But the good news is, this time, I am doing it the DFW way (mostly) in that I am trying to get things cheaply through QuidCo & EBAY etc. And I've got one eye on the bank account and the other on the clothes rails or whatever it is I'm spending on!
I feel OK about it.
More importantly, it's in perspective.
I want the overdraft gone, and (touch wood) it will go and relatively soon.
And I'm actually a lucky person really. Really lucky when all's said & done and you look at a lot of the !!!!!!, the real poverty and the injustice flying around out there in the world.
So really I should stop making a big deal out of my litle spends and my soon to fall (hopefully!) overdraft shouldn't I!?
