Just caught up on the last couple of pages - regarding the sport world champs.....if you don't go this year, and concentrate on the DFW stuff instead, as you know you should, then you could look forward to one of the bigger trips in the future - Aus, Asia or wherever. How fab would that be - to go somewhere where you could not even dream of going at this moment in time.
Perhaps you could even start a visual aid for this - something stuck on the fridge for example that would remind you just why you are putting yourself to all this trouble?

Hi hypno...thanks for your words!
I like your thinking - in essence you are right. I know what you mean, it would be fantastic to go to Australia or somewhere further afield to the Champs.
It's one of the many things that I need to start saving for and if I can, then I will.
At the moment though, we need to do so much to the house that the cost of going that far afield compared to hopping over to Europe...I just can't justify it. Maybe one day.
Also, the friends I would go with - I don't know if they would all travel as far either. Possibly. But that's just detail really.
It's the £££ factor that matters for the next 3 - 5 years I think.
Perhaps I could start to plan a trip for my 40th birthday year (5 years off ) - that certainly would be memorable!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Good news!!
I won the monthly football competition!
And even better news.....it wasn't £30 prize money...it was £36
So, although hardly a fortune it REALLY helps me this month.
I have already split the money up for my 'good personal causes' this month which includes £10 gone into my money box where I am squirrelling away change for the Dance Show ticket.
Also - someone picked me up from the bus stop this morning so I saved £1.50 there too.
Big smiles today I can tell you.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Ooh, glad to hear you had a good day LA and are smiling!
It will be great if you can manage to go to the dance show, treats and things to look forward to (when they're affordable and budgetted for!) can make all the difference in staying on that wagon!!

 The life of a WAG? Let me see... fake hair, fake boobs, fake nails, fake Armani, REAL Burberry, faithful and intelligent OHs (:rotfl:), getting up early each morning to scan the tabloids and throwing a hissy fit if you're NOT in them, getting up early each morning to scan the tabloids and throwing a hissy fit if you ARE in them, plastic surgery, Botox, sense of humour bypass, more Botox, nibbling a lettuce leaf when being a lady who lunches, 12 hours in the gym daily, hob-nobbing at sad bars...
You sure????
