I was in town today after having an eye test (paid for by my works).
I spent my Christmas Boots gift cards on stuff that I use and always need but also a few little 'treats' as well and it felt soooo nice to be able to do that. But I was still canny with my gift cards and used money off vouchers and extra points vouchers, bought BOGOFs as well to stretch things out even more.
Afterwards on the way to the bus station I went into John Lewis to kill some time before my bus (half hour) and had a look round their clearance sale. Bearing in mind i have NO financial room to manoeuvre at the moment with my bank account and I do not possess a credit card any more (hooray!) this was a completely foolish thing to do.
Anyway I am proud to report that although I saw several lovely things begging me to try them on, I resisted and exited the shop at 12.55pm enabling me to catch the bus home at 1pm laden only with a bag full of Boots toiletries.
I felt really pleased with myself as I had been really canny about what I bought and had resisted temptation. I've even bought another 2 Boots vouchers home with me to use later on in the month if I get chance to go into town & buy any other bits I need.
Also we went grocery shopping today and I paid by cheque (this will go into tomorrow's new Moozie budget though) and we came in under budget for the food. My boyfriend also put a £6.99 bottle of booze in the trolley but then gave me a tenner to cover it and this will cover me for bus fares for the rest of the week so I don't need to get any cash out of the speedbank - yay :j
Feeling happy....Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Shouldn't there be a total paid off in the signature? I find seeing my total going up and having to change it often is a good motivatorLeason learnt :beer:0 -
