I do this occasionally. I don't think it is illegal.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

I wouldn't do it on mini roundabouts though, too small and most people wouldn't be expecting it.
Its not really a mini roundabout, but not a big one either. Few drivers indicated to show they were going all the way round, so I should imagine there have been a fear near misses.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Hmmm it might not be illegal and perfectly acceptable but its still not something I would do! I'll carrying on sitting in the correct lane for my turn off with the more patient drivers! I believe in karma!!
And wasting fuel sitting there idling.
I don't have time to wait, i've done it many times before and will continue to do so.
I class it as being smart, rather than sitting in a que of traffic for 10 minsIf Adam and Eve were created first

Yes lets hope all drivers start to use the right lane, then the left hand lane will be empty and I won't be sat in traffic!
In all honesty thought I was only there around 2 mins today, I have patience and wasn't in a rush.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

That's the idea Janine.Use what's available sensibly and the traffic lessens making it quicker for everyone.

I do the 'right round the roundabout' manoeuvre on occassions. Nothing wrong with it.0

Cheeky, and gets other drivers' back up which isn't really a good thing. It's also a bit risky, as the people turning left at the roundabout may not expect the car that was on their right to suddenly re-appear in front of them
Nothing wrong with that. It's called thinking outside the box. I do it loads of times. It keeps the traffic flowing and keeps the queues down. Its not like the driver in the OP's story went in the right hand lane and then chopped everyone up at the last minute and took the left exit...0 -
Never mind the drivers on the roundabout, it's the OP who needs punishment.
She deserves 3 penalty points for use of illegal punctuation on a public forum.0
