Anyone checked the London Stock Exchange for Provident? It may cheer you up a bit, seems like they're on a slippery slope downhill now, in a big way over the last week. Come on Mr Crook keep your workers happy and it may go up again, keep on fining us and watch them drop some more, not really a hard decision to make is it?0

Well, having just read through this thread I must say you all sound like a group of people who really do deserve each other.0

OMG. I've just heard from some of my old customers. The Manager thats collecting my old clip is telling them, if they take a loan out with me from the new company I'm gonna work for, they will be breaking the law and will get into trouble. Sorry but thats INTIMIDATION!!!!! and thats against the law. I hope you're reading this......................0

I would hate to think you were one of the dm's in my office as I think your lights would be well and truly punched out. With this type of attitude you must really be looking to go far in this company as A__ lickers usually do. Or maybe one of you are security and are already out digging dirt as normal. Maybe the way most people are feeling its the highway and we shall see how long you last collecting books 4 days a week on three agencies and your wife / civil partner is giving you grief while getting her alimony from the milkman.
I will give you some facts ,
AGENTS ARE 8% BETTER OFF UNDER THE NEW SCHEME
THE NUMBER OF AGENTS THAT HAVE LEFT IN MY OFFICE ....0
THEIR WAS NO BIG DEMO AT THE SHAREHOLDERS MEETING
THERE WILL BE NO BIG IMPACT ON THE SALES AT WEEK 20.
THE MAJORITY OF AGENTS DONT UNDERSTAND THE SCHEME
AGENTS HAVE HAD IT EASY FOR YEARS, NOW THEY HAVE TO WORK FOR A LIVING AND THEY DONT LIKE IT.
I ATTENDED A COMMISSION FORUM WITH MY AM AND ONLY 9 AGENTS FROM 53 ATTENDED
I AM NOT A DM BUT I WOULD LIKE TO MEET YOU AND SEE YOU ATTEMPT TO PUNCH MY LIGHTS OUT (KEYBOARD HARDMAN) OR I COULD SHOW YOU HOW TO COLLECT PLEASE PM ME :rotfl:

I have no sympathy for provvy reps. I got a knock at the door from provvy rep asking was I interested in a loan and I said no, he didnt accept no and kept on the hard sell. I said I would only be interested in the summ of 500.00 and if could not offer it, not to worry, it was for a specific purpose. He came round with 250.00 in hand shaking it about and said would you accept this and I said no but will wait till can get the 500.00 as 250.00 to tempting to spend on wrong purpose. My son then came in and said my mum has said no.
Following day he appeard again and had the money and asked had I reconsidered, no word of a lie he was waving the money in his hands and I had signed nothing yet. I said again no its 500.00 or not today thankyou and my son told him to please leave. I by now was upstairs and he was still there and I overheard him talking to my son saying well dont worry I will call again to speak to your mum when you are not around!!!!!!!
Following week his card had been put through my door and we binned it. I complained to provvy head office that their man was harassing me and seemed desperate to get me to take 250.00 and that I was not desperate and decided instead to save the 500.00 I needed and get the item when could.
I had genuine concerns that that man in my area could be over selling his loans to vulnerable people and not accepting no. Was provident intersted no, there reply was we cannot be responsible for this agent due to being self employed as in they could not according to the woman discipline or even tell me they were speaking to him.
I dont know now wether this was a true agent or manager, as he was going door to door saying setting up a new round and havnt seen him since though a woman now calls to houses to collect, but in any case I was disgusted and feel the provvy should be shut down as akin to loan sharks nowadays in my experience.0 -
The man even told me my neighbours had trusted him and signed up and i do believe he sold quite a few loans that couple of days, Just made me switch off, I mean that woman could be shopacheck for all I know, but I find the pressure put on householders on knock of a door to take a loan with such intereste is unreasonable and the fact the head office were clearly not interested, said it all.0

Colacubes you have right to be concerned it is illegal to sell cash loans to new customers on the door step, it goes against fsa rules or that is what i was led to believe when i was with shopacheck. If you are need of a loan i advise people to go to their local credit union, the charge for credit is a lot cheaper for people to bear. And even when i worked for shopacheck i suggested this.0
