:mad: Customers phoned me & said they where asking questions, that I as an agent have never known them to ask before!! they have been out many times tho not in the past 5/6 yr's. I have always been fine I am a long standing agent dedicating many yr's to Provident,I am not concerned as I do my work by the book everything ligit & above board,I am fearful that if they really want rid of the "Noisy ones" they will get their way. I am intrigued that they have time to scrutinise my agency atm with all the other issues that are going on within the company ...... I dont know how they got on,but im sure if they r gonna sack me I will be posting Soon!

Try not to be paranoid, its probably just a coincidence. Although they came to see me recently. They are probably asking different questions since the new paperwork came out. making sure youve read all that stuff to the customers when you do an issue. Also theyll be checking books to make sure nobody is putting those silly amounts in to stop a 5 or 10 deduction. Very tempting but really not worth it in the long run.

just get on with it! I have been an agent for a long time now and i have made an incredible amount of money from it especially during promotions, this is here to stay and don't think that provident will stop it because they wont if you don't like it you can always join the dole line!there are plenty of people out there who will want to do this job. instead of looking at all the negatives start to focus on how you can actually make money in other ways, we now get 10 times commission for any re-issue we do there is also gasa promo which if you look at it properly and put the work in as i do you could make an extra 5 grand plus a year! offer to do runners = extra money you have to do this quick though because people don't want to wait! do fresh start do new doors new business offer to do re-issue on vacant books as we get the commission get a deputy and collect vacant books = extra commission do canvass on your own area and get your new doors it all adds up, i make on average around £500 a week and i work hard for it that's what you have to do, its not a part time job its a business our business. good luck on what ever you decide to do.

    thank you

Totally agree with this comment at last someone talking sense. If you whingers and those of you who expect to get big wages for not alot of work notice, this agent is willing to work and with £500 a week wages hes/she is on a a lot more than a DM.

    I rest my case!

I just wondering whether you all are paying Tax and NI? I know this is being looked into.. As many agents are not putting down that they are working for Provident/Greenwoods.

    Wonder no more, I know I am!:A

Have you made any mistakes out there? If so I don't want to worry you although I would be worried. Let's hope they go to the ones that you havn't made the mistakes. I just know for a fact the ones that they see as causing trouble are the ones that are having security checks on their round. Did you say it was security that have gone out?

If you look deeper you will see that they do go up and down all the time, it's not because of the change of times.

i would never dream of putting a few pence in to save a bad charge, false accounting, totally against the rules, and please dont insult me and others by insinuating that we could work harder to recoup the losses, any extra work i do, i expect to get extra for, i also do not encourage my customers to refinance to top up my wages,if this is how you make up your wage on your consience it is, provident pride their selves on the fact that their agents do not get paid when giving loans,so not to be seen as pushing, but yet are, by way of this extra % they are giving us, i would much rather loose that, than be charged for a cust that cant or simply wont pay.
