I believe that unless you all come together as a group you will just go around in circles and the momentum you are generating here will be lost very quickly.
You will need individual branch volunteers to coordinate the following:
1. Compile a list of all agents and contact numbers within your individual branches.
2. Contact all other branches to get their lists.
3. Add these individual branch lists to a petitition.
4. Financially club together and send a representitive to a firm of employment law for advice.
5. Report your findings and documentation back to each branch.
Once the above has been accomplished you can decide on your next move.
My advice from here on in is when ever you have a meeting with your GM or AM then document everything ie take minutes, particularily if it is a verbal meeting only.
After a period of approx 6 weeks work out your 'losses' because you will have factual evidence.
you can turn this around but you all need to be together.0 -

The clue is in the title Development Manager, not arrears manager, to develop a section although more recently the role is more of an admin position.I think if you ask most DM's they would rather be knocking doors on arrears calls, but their time is used up on other aspects of the job imposed over the last couple of years. The decision to impose these commission adjustments were made at HO and not by the DM's who are genuinely concerned to how this is affecting the agents.
Its not just the agents that have been targeted over the last 18 months there have been job losses at Head office and in the field, managers bonuses were restructured and are few and far between, and a considerable amount less than in recent years. If an agent is getting large amounts deducted from their commission week on week, then I would suggest they needed re training or a change of career.0 -

However, you can all contact each other once you have a contacts list from your branches, this way you will not be in the public domain being scrutinised by your managers :lipsrseal0 -

The last thing you want to be told is that there is not a 'clip' available to you which in itself is threatening intimidation. (another point of law)

surely asking for a contact list will alert more suspicion?? - no manager knows the id of anyone on here!! They may think they do but at moment deny deny deny - trust me they are in such a mess over this they are not going to refuse any agent willing to work. So come on guys get your areas down then i got a plan0 -

They can sack everyone, but then again you are self employed so can also leave whenever you want. As for those thinking of jumping ship a word of advice shopacheck are using PDA'S are used for taking customers payments as well as banking too. They are gradually getting rid of the clerks.
I do believe agents are bearing the brunt of the new practises but i am sure there are plenty of people who are bending over and taking it too. At the end of the day provident will say if you don't like it leave, i can guarantee that with every agent that leaves there will be two people willing to replace you.0
