text message received from manager,saying if we need help to reach our sales targets,they will help generate them for us,what a joke were was the managers when we needed help getting the arrears calls done???? which they have not done now for months we wouldnt all be losing so much money now if the managers got off their backsides and did the arrears calls,and helped us with this issue,they are ment to be dms ( development managers ) huh dont think so only thing they have developed is unrest and unhappy agents losing commission each week....:j

As for retraining..this of course costs money and you would not be guaranteed a job at the end of it anyway.

Personally I do like my job, I like the flexibility it allows me, I like my customers and until recently found the pay reasonable(ish) what I object to is being penalised for something beyond my control, I like the majority of my customers, I find the friendly approach works if the customer likes me they want to pay me and I don't want to be forced into harrassing/resenting them so I can afford to feed my kids! If this new structure is for good then I will be moving on, as another agent pointed out we didn't sign up to be debt collectors!

I did not say I didn't understand your reasoning for hating the company just that it has clouded your opinion on this particular subject. Although I would say the situation your friend is in is a very unusual one, his agent was clearly a thief and not representitive of the rest of us agents! The company does have security measures in place to sift out any dishonesty, I had someone checking up on my books just the other week and I am sure this rogue agent will have been dealt with.

If your friend provides his payment book for the area manager to see the weekly receipts proving he made the payments they will wipe the debt out it should be that simple.

needanewjob......... i totally agree with all you have said ,,, i have been doing paper work all day, today, then out collecting and doing sales tonight , and i am already £50 robbed from my wages, before i walked out the door id lost 50 quid... what other job do you know where that happens ,, its a travesty, my customers are apalled, at the treatment the fat t*ats are giving us agents, who work damn hard ,, its sooooooooooo gutting,, i will be walking very soon , as i cant afford to give my hard earned money to the crook and his shareholders, and i truly hope this is EXPOSED in the new of the world this week. as peter crook . and his cronies,,, need to be brought down a peg or two. like the rest of us,,, lets drop his 1.3 million yearly pay pac by 75% ............... see how he likes it ,, DISGRASFUL . Crazyguy you say your self employed with your own buisness , surely you can see were us agents are coming from not as provident but as been self employed people .You go out ther do the work to your best ability and get ripped off by someone weekly , big loss to your buisness as a self employed person , how long do you think you would last if someone was ripping you off by 70% each week not much of a profit margin there for a buisness is there.
And before you start spouting off get a proper job or find something else some of these agents have given 20 years service for what ??? they not gonna get a company pension like the fat cats they will be lucky if they get a thank you kiss my a**e , so a little respect not for provident but for human beings that are trying to make ends meet .
Its not everyones cup of tea and you are entitled to dislike provident for your own reasons , and your friend was very unlucky but dont tie every agent with the same brush.

maybe the daily mirror could help set up a website were we can get a petition going so all 11,000 agents countrywide can sign as we do not have union,so then it will show exactly how many unhappy agents there are and this can be sent to mr peter crook...anyone got any other ideas ???????????????

all agents need to stand united on this give them another week to reverse this and return all monies to agents if not we should arrange meetings out with local offices and get plans to start reducing company profits agents will still have jobs collecting but them in higher places will start sh.... them selfs

arnie.......similar kinda thing from one of my customers this week,cant pay as social deducting from their benefit for social loans they have had and court fines they incurred,this is not my problem that this customer has money being deducted,i have not received a payment from this customer for 14 weeks then the manager rung them asked em to pay reduced amount,they have done this ONCE a meer 30 quid n since then no payment received for 6 weeks,gggrrrr how much more are we gona take??????? :mad:
