I know he shouldnt have been as trusting as he was and I can only pressume it will be a costlt lesson for him in relation to trust, my point is that surely if a agent has been discovered as a thief then they should be questioning more of his collections made and not simply sending in the dogs to collect, especialy as there are at least 5 or 6 others in a simulare position.
Can you not get a grant to retrain ?
absolutely, I would expect them to question it given the circumstances, however looking at it from the other side the company did not receive the money either, it was stolen by the agent so he/she is the one to be held accountable is there any chance of a small claims route against the agent? I suppose you could then argue that the agent was a representative of the company but then the whole self employed thing comes into action again!
As for training grants I was not successful last time I tried and that was pre govt cuts! Anyway I am pretty well educated with numerous qualifications unfortunately it doesn't always lead to jobs or you have to go in at the bottom and with family commitments that is not always a possibility. It's a bit of a stalemate!0 -

Thanks, yeah I am sure I will find something maybe I will be a debt collector I don't mind doing it so long as it's not dressed up as something else

With reference to the problem highlighted by crazyguy.... I think that historically agents with money problems have been considered a security risk. So to make their earnings less certain when dealing with cash on a daily basis is not a good idea. Desparation has made many seemingly good people do uncharacteristically stupid things resulting in losing their jobs. Bad for agents....bad for customers ... bad for the company.0

Very clever Provident, customers paying by card = no commission for the agents, even less wages.
Hi, we were told you will still get paid if office takes payments.
Although a bit worrying as to why they are doing this ? I wonder if its some sort of trial to see how many payments they can get in themselves without us ??
Very worried for my "job" at the min , think there's just more to it all0
