Awwww mrsb that is cute
I have been really lucky with my car. It has never needed anything major before. I bought it in 2005 when it was 3 years old. It has been vandalised, dented, scratched and broken into (because [STRIKE]Gap-Sis[/STRIKE] someone left the door unlocked) and it is the only car in the street that gets bird poo on it but the only thing it has really needed before was a new tyre. It is now 9, nearly 10 and it has been the best wee car I have ever had. It is so reliable. It has never let me down. It has done less than 50,000 miles (about 48,000 I think) but it has been to Yorkshire, Blackpool and Aberdeen. I love my wee carMortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Beautiful day here again, loving it!:D
£20 to PAD today.
2 x £2 coins in pot. That is 4 so far this month (October payday to payday)
Change into sealed pot.
Have started the C shopping. Last year we went on holiday for the last two weeks in October and so I started when we came back in November and although I was fairly organised, I still found myself wrapping presents on C eve. I don't want to do that again, didn't like it
Fairly quiet day tomorrow but off to Aberdeen on Sunday for a dancing comp. Little Miss is dancing, as is Gap-Sis. We are leaving early Sunday morning and coming back late Sunday night. Busy day and I am going to be shattered. Should have taken Monday off.
Have a good weekend everyone.

It was lovely to meet you too Allie and yes, similar journeys. That lemon cake was delicious! Little Miss got a 1st and a 2nd with her wee partner and Gap-Sis got a 2nd and a 3rd. Just to explain, Gap-Sis has never danced a comp in her life before, that was her first one. Also, she went in at a higher level than she should have AND she was dancing against people who have not only competed before but also have been dancing for years. 2nd out of 3 and 3rd out of 5! I am so proud of both of them
Erme - I'll hopefully see you in November
Very busy weekend and I am exhausted again. I have come back to work to relax :rotfl:
No PADs over the weekendSpent instead
PAD today of £1.30 though.
Away to catch up with the weekend's gossip.

Hi Gap - Well done to Little Miss. Little Itsa loves to dance but she only attends at a little after school ballet & tap with a few of her friends. I think she has the potential to do a lot better but I don't think I would be able to convince her to move to a proper ballet and tap so for now we stay with just "playing" at it. If I had more money I would let her do both
Hey ho, the list is endless of things I could do for her, I really need to get her some swimming lessons as I think it is quite important that she learns (or at least gets over her fear of water)
Must get a wiggle on in thinking of Christmas presents!
I am struggling with motivation again todayI am sure I should be a lady of leisure and not have to work :-)
Just keep swimming!0 -
Oh I definitely agree with being a lady of leisure. I would be more than happy to be that. In fact, I think I was actually born to be a lady of leisure but something went wrong along the way
I was also born to be wealthy and born in the wrong country (i.e. should have been born somewhere hot). Oh well, at least I have LM to keep me sane
Just let Little Itsa play at it. If she is keen she will want to do it in the future. I was forced into stuff when I was wee and I ended up disliking everything I did. I do think it is very important for children to learn to swim. That is one thing I have always forced LM to do. She does quite like swimming but on the days when she can't be bothered I insist that she has to go. It is the only thing I "make" her do and the only thing I have not allowed her to give up :cool:Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

£3.90 to PAD from yesterday and today. Was off sick again yesterday so one whole day's bus fares in the pot! Back to work today though. Strangely I feel ok being here today, probably because I feel well today. I don't like feeling ill.
Not much else to report today. Just claimed another £5 swagbuck voucher so waiting for that to confirm so that I can transfer it to my amazon account. Already got £5 in that so that will be £10 towards Christmas presents
Mr G's sister's 50th birthday on Saturday (she does not look or act 50 so you just wouldn't believe it. She is lovely and we get on really well, I can't believe she is 50) Unfortunately I can't get a babysitter and I haven't told Mr G yet

Glad you're feeling better GAP. I had to go home on Monday afternoon with a nasty cold but I've been stuck here since. Didn't get home until 8.15 last night

Thanks mrsb
Change of plan for Saturday. I finally plucked up the courage and told Mr G I couldn't go on Saturday. As predicted he had a wee moan and said he had to go anyway as he couldn't let his sister down (obviously, I wouldn't let my sister down either) and then about half an hour later Gap-Mum called and said she could watch LM after all because they had to cancel their plans for Saturday :j (I jump for joy at getting a babysitter, not at Gap-Parents having to cancel their plans). So, now need to sort out an outfit for that
Updated my sig today. Nearly under £2k. I just couldn't get that extra £160 last month (mrsb - any suggestions welcome)
£1 to PAD today.
