I called Tesco HO to ask if the store manager could ban her as she was a shareholder and they said "yes" as it was upto each store manager who could come onto their property as each store was classed as private property.
Yes and the 'banned' person owns part of it! The manager has no jurisdiction here. Technically I guess the manager could refuse to serve the person as that decision is up to him, but he couldn't refuse to admit the person into the store.0 -
Well this thread moves soooooo fast!
Just caught up on all tonight's posts
DTDSearcher posts - which MSE savvy dtd shopper is going to go through the back for a 'wee private chat' when there are plenty other Tesco's close by? which 'normal' shopper would accept being treated this way? anyone would just leave the shopping and leave the store - quick smart!!!
Happy shopping for sat everyone:)I used to have a life............................... before MSE!!

is it true that if you go over on you first 4 vouchers so that they are capped at £20 (when perhaps uncapped they would be £25) then you won't get a fifth voucher - because mathematically you have exceeded the £100 limit - even though you have only been given £80 in vouchers?
Saw some discussion on this a while back and I think it may have happened to me. I have not received a fifth voucher and I think it is because the first four would have added up to £88.88, so another £20 would put me notionally over.
Have not had any email though to say I am over my limit - but it's been a few days now and no voucher has appeared (others came regular as clockwork) ?!?
think this is why im still waiting for the dread email because i knw i am £4.?? over and no voucher hth0 -
I lost a receipt to a voucher last week for £20. I refused to throw it...so I gave the poor young lad at the tills 6 vouchers(petty ones from wombled receipts) and receipts in a bundle and when it came to him asking for the receipt for the £20 voucher...
SA; 'Have you got the receipt for this one?'
Me; *Surprised look* 'What? I gave them all to you...' *pretends to search on counter*
SA; *looks petrified and starts looking on the floor* 'Oh, er, um ok, er..' *Scans* '...16p to pay please'£20k in 2023 = £2718 £2023 in 2023 = £196.41 Grocery challenge £250= £195.80 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0 -
I think tesco STILL allow vouchers for products only if they stock the item but you do not have to buy it?
Sadly no more. The days when I could go armed with my £50 worth of coupons cut out from Womans Own and Bella, and pay diddly squat finished last year. My wallet is still mourning the day!!Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -
About the DTDSearcher,
I dont think what he is telling us is the truth,
The reason is that I have also been pulled over a couple of times for this and when they SA told me that she needed to confirm with HO to check my voucher was correct (she told me that people are printing out the voucher but editing the amount) and they asked me for my email address and I told them that i use a disaposabe one because I dont want spam.
Each new recipt I get I make up a email address and never use a real one so really the first voucher will never match the second and so on.
There must be more to this story, For 1 I will never return a item as that will make you more noticable. and that's breaking a t&c.
I agree. I think there is more to this story. More juicy information that would make us all gasp0 -
Come on admit it. Be honest, who has lost a receipt or left it at the till, since this promotion has began.
I've left one. A nice £20 plus one
Anybody else want to be part of the plonkers club?
If you haven't, name your most embarrassing moment. Like the cashier girl was your niece or something just as crazy :rotfl:
I lost 3 receipts in one go, after submitting them. Went to get vouchers the next day (all hopefully £20 or £19) but no receipts, and couldn't remember the email addresses either so 3 big fat vouchers are still sat in nowhere land
And I went to a SA across the aisle from a SA I must have used before, because she shouted across very loudly 'Oh it's you again! Have you got another voucher? Or are you still trying to spend that huge one you got???!!' :eek:0 -

In all seriousness though, do you see the point I'm trying to make? People can do whatever they like, I don't really care, but IF Mr T did decide to make an example of someone to put others off then there are a few sitting ducks on this forum.
Someone said it would take more than a couple of calls to get the true ID of a poster on this forum. Maybe so, but it would be quite easy anyway. All the info needed is logged at every stage on the servers.
More twaddle. :rotfl:
Its time you put the Wolf Blass (or whats left of it) back in the fridge and staggered off to bed!0
