EVERYONE STOP ARGUING NOW!
Or you will have me to deal with and you will not like that! :rotfl:
Please, please, please....be the bigger person and stop arguing.
It's not nice to watch and it's only going to get this thread closed down if it continues.
Next person I see arguing is going straight to the naughty step!0 -
all this stuff about the spreadsheet, I'm thinking I'm in the minority that just reads the current version and uses pen and paper to make my list, or cut/paste into notepad and works it all out that way...no sorting or whatever, just old fashion searching and hand notes ....and I didn't even realise the format had changed and whichever format I looked at, I love it ...thanks for all the hard work guys.0

Do you know that when I blasted the people who were doing many shops a day, and everyone jumped on my back, I had PMs from posters who supported me but didn't want to post the same to avoid confrontation.
who cares? seriously, i dont give a toss what other people think to my DTD'ing, I am doing this to help my family and give us a better life for as long I can. So I will continue doing multiple shops a day, sod everyone else. I dont care wether other people are doing 1 or 100 shops a day0 -

While im sure everyone appreciates your work this is a collaborated effort. Close the spreadsheet and anyone could reopen one.. in fact at the start there were 3 different spreadsheets... and on PTS there is another on there along with a website.. that actually automatically does what all of you do (yep... thats cool eh?)
Dont get me wrong its good what you doing, but threats are meaningless, there are alternate sources available and you stop someone else will start again with the latest copy of this spreadsheet.
You can't contain something like this nor own it, just like viral videos on youtube. Theres enough people on here with excel experience and with free hosting from google easy peasy.
But that aside the fact you are doing it and not someone else is cause to thank you, just pointing ouy delusions of grandeur or threats wont work with this, so be happy and have a nice day too
None of us have delusions of grandeur here but picking at those of us who are volunteering our time to help everyone is never going to go down well with any of us.
What you need to do is move on from this, stop griping and appreciate the hard work that everyone does here.0 -
Oh my god.
Yes lets in the 21st century take a pen and a piece of paper.... when as i have excel i can simply download the spreadhseet select all the information go to data -> Sort -> Sort by Column L (in ascending)
and Voila done in 10 seconds.
I hardlty call using my brain being lazy? or should i go through 700 lines manually or about 30 lines once they are sorted.
I mean i understand where you comig from but you not talking to some idiot.. i was simply pointing out this operation cannot be done now because you are using merged cells.... whereas it was possible before. I can obviously extract the data myself and here i will prove it.
Now next time you want to bring out the epeens I will gladly partipate in any competition on IT competency... I work as an engineer and excel is a piece of !!!!.
Some people need to get off their high horse... just cause you can coble together an excel spreadsheet doesn't make you god lol.0 -
I used my very first voucher this morning...what a terrible experience!
The man on the checkout shouted over to the manager who came storming over. They then spent a couple of minutes pouring over it while I went bright red.
The stroppy checkout manageress then said "this isnt valid as the details aren't the same.." she was talking about the 24 hour clock....
then about 5 of them had a conversation about whether they were vaild or not, then they voided my shop and sent me over to Customer services who had to put it all through again. The same checkout manageress served me over there and I was so embarrased by this point I mumbled "Dont bother I wont use the voucher then" so she said "Ok thats alright then" and asked me for the full amount....then i got a bit cross and thought I should be more assertive and said "actually no, I do want to use the voucher" then someone else came over and told her to just put it through.
Whole process took about 15 minutes!
what an embarrasment.....made me feel like a criminal, but I had got the 20 voucher from a genuine weekly food shop with some kids clothes thrown in...not even a deliberate DTD shop!!
Anyone else had an experience like this?? I have another £5.20 voucher to spend but Im scared to go back now!
hthShop one - A vs T
Shop two - A vs W
And then repeat :j:j:j
& now add - A vs S
What the heck A vs the world :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I'd just like to add further thanks to all the people who do the spreadsheet.
I use the live updating one. I can do Ctrl+A to select all, open Excel and do Ctrl+V to paste it in. You can then select the whole sheet and do Format Cells and remove Wrap Text and Merge Cells across the whole sheet. It's then great for sorting, filtering, looking up, etc.
To the person who has a netbook and doesn't have Excel, I'm sorry, but that like complaining you can't carry three passengers when you bought a Motorbike!0 -
Admins are moving on people - on with another day of DTDing.
Any deals for us to post anyone?0
