Oh dear. I do feel for you. Try not to be too downhearted. Lots of people have lots of opinions. That's all it is. Have a cuppa and make yourself another DTD list. That should help cheer you up a bit. :)

    Good advice! :D

when i open it up? since its not live but old one was , omg and now the sun is coming out

It is only live if you view it online. If you view the downloadable one it is snapshot of the time it was copied over.

While im sure everyone appreciates your work this is a collaborated effort. Close the spreadsheet and anyone could reopen one.. in fact at the start there were 3 different spreadsheets... and on PTS there is another on there along with a website.. that actually automatically does what all of you do (yep... thats cool eh?)

Dont get me wrong its good what you doing, but threats are meaningless, there are alternate sources available and you stop someone else will start again with the latest copy of this spreadsheet.

You can't contain something like this nor own it, just like viral videos on youtube. Theres enough people on here with excel experience and with free hosting from google easy peasy.

But that aside the fact you are doing it and not someone else is cause to thank you, just pointing ouy delusions of grandeur or threats wont work with this, so be happy and have a nice day too :)

Look forward to seeing your own version of a spreadsheet, at your earliest convenience. Please post a link. I'm sure we'll all learn from you and your vast knowledge.

Right must move on. Not talking about the spreadsheet any more.

    Any sign of vouchers??

Neas, the spreadsheet has been kept simple for a good reason - it has to be used by lots of people, many of whom have little or no knowledge of excel. We have discussed macros etc but it isn't really practical and we would spend a lot of time having to explain and demonstrate usage. Sometimes, simplicity is best.

If you re-read my initial post you will see i made a suggestion and then was jumped on and accussed of being lazy.

Being lazy for using my brain and making something quicker/more efficient for myself.

It was a suggestion NOT a complaint, i can still do what i want just need to delete the headers for a quick fix.

I appreciate what everyone does for the spreadsheet but disliked being called lazy when i was the opposite.
  • What, for speaking my mind?!

Do you know that when I blasted the people who were doing many shops a day, and everyone jumped on my back, I had PMs from posters who supported me but didn't want to post the same to avoid confrontation.
    Of course you did. ;)

I take it you don't live in the Westcountry - otherwise that was a big mistake. Wet and miserable down here

Me too, the English Riviera is looking pretty grey today!
    £20k in 2023 = £2718 £2023 in 2023 = £196.41 Grocery challenge £250= £195.80 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**
