Any idea who said this? I've been hearing 'september 2011' and neither the start of end of the month just a vague 30 odd days. Would be interested to know your source ;)

It would not be unusuall for Apple to announce it at thw WWDC but set a shipping date in september.
  • I have heard that the white iphone 4 will be released soon??? (perhaps june 11 )

    Anyone else heard these rumours

A usual Apple marketing trick, send out a white version to get as many handsets sold as possible

Isn't the new HTC Sensation the first dual core smartphone? also I heard that it enables a lot more to be saved to the memory card, hence the inernal memory staying as it is on the Desire HD

As for Android phones going "out of date" more often, where on earth does it put the iphone? personally I ditched the iphone 4 to go to the HTC Desire HD and would never go apple again,my opinion though but Android seems to be gaining momentum at a rapid pace right now for sure

have read the white iphone 4 is out tomorrow on some networks?

Reply to OP - go for the IPhone4, its out now and you wont be dispointed. If the 5 is out in September it will have similar features.

I recently changed the wifes phone from a wildfire as it was so slow. Sold that on ebay £125, bought a Samsung Galaxy S brand new for £250. Much better phone, I would consider one instead of my iphone 4 but I am kind of hooked on the iphone and if the 5 is much better would grab one straight away.

If oyu can keep the handset in good order, they hold the price well so even if you need to change its not the end of the world, just youre patience might cost £100

I got a 8GB 3GS when they launched the iPhone 4. The 3GS didn't suddenly turn into a bad phone as soon as the 4 got released (just like the 4 won't turn into a bad one as soon as the next version comes out).

Have been very happy and better tariffs then the iPhone 4 and can use the same apps (bar the HD versions).

I own a Mac and run mobileme so getting an iPhone was a no brainer and had loads of apps for my iPod Touch so didn't need to buy a whole bunch of new apps. If it wasn't for that I would probably be using a Desire.

im the same was going to get the 4 as an upgrade from my 3gs decided to go for an htc hd desire and would never go back

the iphone seems so primitve in comparison

  • I'm on my fourth iPhone 4. I've had an iPhone since they were released, but this is the one I've disliked:

    1. First iPhone 4 - home button faulty after 3 months
    2. Second - call quality appauling
    3. Dead pixels after getting it home from Apple Store - the day I exchanged it!
    4. Still poor call quality.

O2 tell me I can reduce my tarrif from £45 to £36, but I have to buy a data bolt-on for £6. Hardly a discount.

    Steer clear.

I've always been with Cellnet / O2. I'll avoid them in the future.
