  • Evening all

I had a quick look over the thread but unable to take much in as brain is not working. So welcome to all newbies. Hugs/spoons/sticks to a;ll who want or need them.

This afternoon I walked to the Dr's and most of the way back, which took me the best part of two hours as I walk at a snails pace. On the way home I stopped at Mr S's and picked up a few bits and OH picked me up from there.

Since coming home I have baked a honey, lemon and yogurt cake and some caremel short bread as Oh has promised to bring some into work and he has eated the stuff OI made of Saturday:eek:.

I also waiting for OH to come back from the Gym so that I can get the dinner out the way and S&S kitchen, as all I want to do is veg out on the couh for the rest of the night.

I am in. I cannot stand living in a mess any longer and ds is now getting good at sitting in his playnest playing for a while here and there. Please feel free to hassle me as I keep saying i'm back but then wandering off again.

I also need to find a job at least part time as i'll be out of work at the end of my mat leave in july and i feel like if the house is more ordered i'll have a clearer head iyswim!

have already swept kitchen floor this am so will do the rest of the kitchen.

And Rach - long time no chat how lovely to see you! - I see you've been busy just like me but in a different sort of way! How is young DS? Growing nicely I hope and I hope DH still thinks he's the apple of his eye ....

Sorry to hear about the being out of work after mat leave ends in July - is that because the position has gone or because you don't want to do all that commute?

Oh - flying wise? I've decluttered some phone calls, written a grant application for a local organisation , fed the menagerie and am just about to feed myself - stir fried rice - I've earned it because I had the most "interesting" day at work since I started there..... A medical emergency. Someone took ill. I was first on scene and took charge and organised and soothed until the paramedics arrived and took over. It's amazing how some people just did the hide behind the newspaper bit....

But I guess that's the highlight of the work situation for the next 18 months or so..... hey ho....

Why do kitchens never stay clean? It already looks like I haven't cleaned it for a week. ((sulks)) DH fell asleep and missed the change of train so late home. He's now filling in the garage. Delayed dinner until 2100. Will be eating while watching Waking the Dead. Then WILL clear kitchen b4 I go to bed to I don't wake up and feel depressed tomorrow.

I haven't done too much today as I came home after work training course and planted out the 3 rose bushes I had forgotten about so they are in their new pots now. Also planted out 2 more lots of potatoes and still have some spare left to go to new homes!

Flying wise - all washing ready to go out tomorrow, washed up all pots after tea, de gunged the fridge by using up what needed using urgently and made a lovely tea out of it too. Also put the full recycling bins out for collection tomorrow. All bins emptied inside too. Tomorrow will do half the kitchen list and whatever is on for tomorrow to get on with it and not leave it all until next weekend

Today DS went to play in a McDonalds 5 a side football tournament in middlesborough.

His team stank and they lost all of their matches.

In the warm up he hurt his wrist, so after playing all the matches and driving home he has been to A&E, where they have Xrayed him and told him a bone is broken!!!!!!!!

He ended up in the main hospital car park instead of the A&E one, couldn't get out cos he'd got no money......and was going to walk home. OH was about to exit with cash to get the car out (the hospital is about 3 miles away) when we got DS on the phone and the parking office bloke had given him a ticket so hopefully he is on his way home.

What he didn't tell me was whether it was bandaged, strapped or plastered!

I wish the men in this family would stop breaking stuff - that's a finger, a thumb and a bone in the wrist in the last 8 months.......

Not speaking to me then Soappie? - fine - I'll just go and sit in a corner!

In bed now and so are the kids after doing Beavers. DH is away tonight so it's just me.

Still got loads of the kitchen to do but at least it's looking better as you come through the front door.

Oh JJ - of course I'm speaking to you! A gazillion apologies if I've missed a post of yours xxx

I have only, really, skim read - and much of that time was spent stirring things...

My stir fry dinner (I got inventive with basmati rice, bacon, green peppers and onion!) is just about finished so it's up and at 'em again xxx
