Evening all (bends knees like Dixon of Dock Green to show age)

Cleaned paw art off 3 window (Gracie has been using the small windows as cat flaps), planted cucumber & pepper seeds. Supported DS2 homework.

I unintentionally blitzed boys' room helping DS2 look for something. He was very helpful and agreed for lots of "baby books" go to C/shop. He told me not to give away toys that he may want to play with sometime. I have also thinned out about 12 soft toys and teddies. (Hope no one looks for them). :undecided

I need to sort take along Thomas toys out for ebay. Hope I can remember what to do.

Need to get polyfilla tomorrow so will try to take stuff to C/shop on way.

Off on HHC to do kitchen fairy thing.

Funny how posting something can make you see it more clearly IYKWIM
I just picked out three for specific replies (anyway got a feeling you can only multi-quote three)

That made me really sad.. who will remember you all? The end of that genetic line.. ok.. so I am pathetic..

    You? pathetic? never.:p
Actually you made me realise one possible reason why I thought I couldn't do it - that genetic line has already died out as I was adopted.

If any of them were involved in any particular industry or profession maybe there's an archive there.
Yes, need to investigate two possible places for dad's stuff

I am an only child too and Dad is the last of his generation on that side, plus I only have 4 cousins and 2 are not married, so I see what you mean.

How about a family history society from the area your parents cme from, they would love some stuff like marriage certificates and pictures etc. I have been tracing the family tree and some stuff is just not easy to find, these 'strangers' have been good to me, looking for people I had not been able to find.

It just goes to show that when we declutter we should never assume that its all stuff no-body would be interested in.
    Also useful idea, thanks.

Can see a lot of research coming on.:rotfl:

    well - morning peeps:hello:

DH is taking Dad for his op this morning, Dad doesn't want anyone to go or stay with him so Mum is feeling a bit put out, positive vibes needed from flyladies please :(

living room floor is covered with bits from new greenhouse and it looks like they may be there till the weekend, so flying in the living room is on hold. I might get a chance to catch up with the kitchen and finally mop the floor in there, or I may be out in the old greenhouse planting stuff now its decluttered.

Do I need to eat it :o
    Can I afford the calories:eek:
