We've got Virgin coming tomorrow morning - got back on Saturday and the cable box is dead :( So not only do I have the messiest house ever but I can't even watch television in comfort while the builders are here!

I have washed up in the garden though. It's like camping and I hate camping.....

Have a hug, you sound miserable x This was our second virgin visit in 4 days. We are now on our 3rd box since June. All our recorded stuff is gone - for me that is the last series of WDYTYA? which I had just started to watch

Got all I wanted to done in the garden, it has clounded over here now and looks like rain, hopefully after DS1 has reffed his match. He is home from school (extra AS day for literature) so having an hour in bed before going.

Just having a cuppa and then I must hoover and mop the kitchen floor.

Decluttering question (well sort of decluttering)

If you are the only child of only children and have no descendants what do you do with all the paperwork etc. from your late parents and grandparents?

Part of me feels I do not have the right to get rid of it - which another part of me knows is daft as, at some point in the future, someone else will bin it all anyway.

    Daft bint aren't I :o

You're not daft and it made me sad too. If there are no other relatives then what about a local history society/local library I'm sure they would be keen to have it all when the time comes. Could you put it in envelopes for them and leave it in your will?

Hello all, I wonder if I could join you?

Hi and welcome! Looks like you've got your hands full, but stick around and see if we can help!

Crafty - not daft at all! There have been some good suggestions and you could also try a museum archive. Hope you find someone who'll love to have them. I suppose you could research your family tree and discover long lost relatives.

Another hour done and there are definite signs of improvement in the kitchen, even though I'm not even half-way there. DH is due home soon, so I'll try to fit in another HHC before it's time to do tea. x

Think we might have finally stopped pooping and being sick now - just got to try and get drinks down the kids - we all look like we've been smacked round the chops (am tempted to go on wii fit to see how much I've lost:eek:). Dd was delighted to be poorly cos we had to postpone family trip to dentist - haven't told her he has fitted us in on Friday instead.
