Well, we have our new cats or, at least, we should be able to collect them on Wednesday. I had intended that we should have one or two slightly older cats ie between 2 and 6 years old. We looked at a number, and really liked two that had already been reserved. Then, we came to another pen, containing a ginger cat and a black kitten, or that was how they seemed. In fact, they're both about 11 months old, and were dumped on a CPL volunteer's doorstep. OH just loves ginger cats - we had one some years ago who was totally daft - and OH was smitten. So, I had little choice in the matter, but I don't mind. Both are very affectionate, although the little black one is a bit nervy. I'm getting quite :jnow!
Ooh lovely! I love ginger cats too, but I have a little grey and white cutie at the moment and she is just adorable. We had a big ginger cat called... er... Gingerwhen I was little and I loved him.

Evening :wave:I need to start coming on here earlier I'm so tired by the time I pop in I make even less sense than usual.
OH has done some more of the decorating
I've cut most of the grass (dinner was ready before I'd finished, hopefully the weather holds so I can finish tomorrow)
DW hokey cokey
Washing dried outside :j
I've spent hours organising educational excursions for the next few months, including liaising with other local HE families
BM set to run over night
Porridge soaking
We also watched the new Dr Who
I'm ready for my bed but neither child is asleep, little one keeps coming down with one excuse after another, and I know if I go to bed they will keep disturbing me and I'll end up shouting which won't help anybody so instead I'll stay up and read MSE

Morning,
I could go on (moan!) about yesterday but that would bore the tits off you all and suffice to say I moved lots, realised my cunning plan wouldn't work and then had to move the stuff back again. Zero progress was made.
Today is D day. cos it is work worky mc work work tomorrow.
Have a good one folks xxxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Arghh Buffy been there too. And worky mcwork for me tomorrow too, although it's an inset day so the real madness won't begin until Tuesday. Didn't realise we could say tits... gonna have some fun with that now :rotfl:
Well, I seem to have made some real progress and will possibly make even more by tidying downstairs today too. If downstairs gets tidied and is comfortable before the end of the day, I will be extremely happy.
Funnily enough the room I intended to sort out first, the spare room of doom, is more messy than ever (there's less of it, though, as I did the CS/bin/giveaway thing).
But the rest of the house is really starting to look not too bad messy wise. The boxroom of doom is painted, clean and reorganised and is actually really nice to use now.
Hope everyone has a great Sunday... it doesn't feel like Sunday here at all so I have to keep saying it to myself, so that I get in the right frame of mind for getting up at 5am tomorrow!
See you when you get back Emm, hope the shift goes well!
Hope your weather is good Baileys Babe... it didn't hold here, all drizzly at the moment, so gardening is out. The grass desperately needs cutting!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Hi,
We were meant to be going out today, something I've been looking forward to for 7 years! But of course the day has come and I feel ill so we're not going. How typical is that?
Haven't done much around the house, given the sink and bath a wipe, put some laundry away, emptied the litter tray and DH has done the washing up. Think that's all for today, going to just lie here and enjoy the sun I think. Have a good day everyone.0 -
so tired. so unmotivated it is hilarious. SO much to do!
Alec - hope you feel better and crikey what sucky timing

Anyone looking for the Sept - new year thread - its been moved to Debt free forum - don't understand why as its not about being debt free0

Thanks Viv - bit odd that. I thought it was more OS with being about traditional school returning time etc.
Hope you feel better soon Alec, what a shame to miss your trip.
Buffy, sod it - rest up and get the mess next time around!
I'm part way through cleaning and tidying downstairs and will have to leave some of it, but will make an effort to finish the study/dining room area as I will be using it a lot in term time.
Also will empty and reorganise the kitchen cupboard - that'll take me at least another hour or so - then it will be feet up and enjoy a lazy Sunday evening.
GR Zara and George are soooo cute!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.
