Afternoon Messies.
Faith, how awful for you; no wonder your brain has taken a dip. Being in the pub trade is so, so tough, because the chains know there are plenty of people out there who think it'll be a great job. It isn't, of course, for the senior staff or their partners/families. Don't let yourself get too low before you do something about it, will you? <HUGS>
Alec e, it must be quite refreshing starting your wardrobe again. Over the last couple of weeks, I've been putting some items of clothing in a charity bag, items I know I won't ever wear again - so what's the point of keeping them? I've also bought some new items, for what's left of summer, and two tops for the autumn. Good, innit?
The wet dull weather doesn't help, does it, jps? Hope you pick up soon.
Well, the unpleasant task is over re the cat, and tears shed, by OH and myself.:( We then took it all out on the shavings while mucking out the stables, and now the sun's shining. So, a watery smile.
Have vacuumed throughout the house, including the porch and conservatory. Where do all the dead flies come from, when we have a curtain over the door? The garden is looking exceedingly damp after some very heavy downpours, so I hope the farmers' wheat crops haven't suffered.0 -
Faith, of course you would feel bad, blimey, I feel bad for you and it's not happening to me. That is pretty crap. I am obviously just a random on the internet but I wouldn't automatically think it is depression, I would think it is a perfectly reasonable response to massive life changes?
Is there anything you (or you OH) can do to make it a bit easier? Are you sure about the dogs? They are really good company and if your oh is starting a new job and will be busy....
Anyway in case the above is a load of crap have some hugs instead xxxxxxxx
In my world..............well kinda rubbish. Was meant to paint the bathroom today but Mum needed to hang some curtains and move furniture so we did that. It was depressing as at one point we had a clear window sill and nothing in front of the window and we both looked at each and sort of realised that the house would be quite nice if we didn't fill it with a load of !!!!.
any how this little ray of sunshine is going to have a nap
and try and snap out of it
xxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Bearcub that's what i'm very consious of I always have this thing I allow myself 4 bad days tops then I have to something to cheer myself up so Saturday me & bestfriend are going to look for bridesmaid dresses.
I'm really hoping it is just that Buffy so I'm trying to keep positive and watch for warning signs but I'm so tired it's clouding my judgement a little. As I said though Saturday is going to be a girly day so I'm hoping that will snap me out of it.
As for the dogs when he was away for 10 days they were miserable werent eating ect and perked up as soon as he was home. I love them to much to have them upset. I'll be keeping the cats so I'll have some company. Except the evil one her I'm going to watch like a hawk lolFirst Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -
Hi,
Not got much done yesterday & today. I went to visit my Sister yesterday, we just met eachother for the 1st time a few months ago as i'm adopted and have just traced her - apologies if i've mentioned this before!! So i spent most of the day with her which was lovely.
Today i've just been doing jobs on the farm outside. I'm gonna have to get going tomorrow, got loads of jobs indoors to do before the girls come back!!
Bearcub, sorry to hear about your catbig hugs!
JxIt's a farmers life for me......:j0 -
Aww bearcub, virtual hugs for you too. Well done for getting through the day - going to sleep is much better than suffering pain when the outcome is an ending, anyway, so pusscat had the best of everything there - a lovely life with you and a peaceful passing.
Glad things went well with your sister FW! How lovely that you have traced her and can get to know each other.
Buffy, I'm always going upstairs with the firm intention of turning a total crap heap into a lovely desirable set of rooms, then coming away not much later feeling overwhelmed! However I am going to start this weekend. I'm out tomorrow at parents' house and then on Friday - the demessying must commence!
I'm watching Celebrity BB launch, oh dear. Maybe this year I won't get too involved! I did watch the ordinary BB launch and then didn't watch any more of it, so hopefully I won't get hooked!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

How lovely to catch up with a long-lost sister, FW! I assume, as you've met for a second time, that you get on ok together? Had you known about her for a while?
Thanks for the hugs. Bit tearful earlier, but fine now. It was definitely the right thing to do. It's going to seem very quiet for a while, now her yowling's gone.
OH and I had dinner at the pub tonight, as OH didn't feel like cooking, and I wasn't going to argue.0 -
Bearcub - i've known for a long time that i had an older sister, she's only a year older than me! She was surprisingly easy to find, only 20 miles away!! She has 3 children that are similar ages to mine, in fact her youngest daughter and my youngest daughter have birthdays 3 weeks apart!! She's really nice!

Faith - being separated for a while isn't the end of the world. OH and I lived 250 miles apart for over 2 years and we got through it. Admittedly we both drove but to be honest, it was easier by public transport when we were organised enough to book in advance anyway - 4 hours on the train is much easier than 4 hours behind the wheel! You just have to work out how to keep the communication going and make the most out of the time you get together. And you can also make the most of having some alone time too - OH doesn't go out much but he's away for 3 weeks just now. I'm gonna miss him in a few days but right now, I'm loving having the house to myself for a change. Focus on the best in each bit of the situation rather than the worst and depression won't have chance to take hold.
Bearcub - Its sad that you had to go through that today but it does sound like it was for the best. Pub dinner sounds like a good idea.
FW- great news that you get to spend time with your sister after all this time.
Tata- not sure if I'll get chance to log on tomorrow so I'd better say good luck for your interview now just in case. Fingers crossed it goes well. I'd say its worth having everything with you just in case - you don't have to show it but if they ask, you can show you're prepared. As long as you're taking some sort of bag or folder that it can be kept in - otherwise you might look freaky-keen if its not the sort of stuff they are interested in! but a plain envelope in your bag with the results in won't do any harm.
Laurel - hope you're feeling a bit better now?0
