Psychiatrist appt was very brief, just agreed I wasn't going to start new meds until after my op because there's no point really, I'd only have to come off them because of the anaesthetic. It's the psychologist appts starting end of August which will be tough - but I can't wait to get started :).

What a wonderful positive attitude, Cat. That in itself is a good sign, I would think. :)

A meet up? Could be interesting, with you in the north, Cat, Emms in Wales, and me about as south as you can get. Where would we choose? DD1 is meeting up with some MSE folk in a couple of months.

bearcub, I think the central point we came up with before was Sheffield or somewhere in that region :)

eta where is DD1's meet up?

DD1's meet up is in Birmingham. She was up there for a work semianr not long ago, but didn't have enough time to explore as much as she would have liked so, when suggested Brum, it seemed like a good idea.

I'm a moderator on another forum, and a number of us have met up over the years. We were due to meet in York last year, but one member was very ill, so we didn't do it in the end.

    That's a pity bear :(

I was actually just thinking Brum would be good from a transport point of view - that or Crewe :D

A meet would be a really great way to celebrate my [STRIKE]40th[/STRIKE] latest 21st birthday but I'm guessing nobody would fancy a weekend away in chilly November :rotfl:

Who could tell if it would be chilly in November? The weather's been all over the place for the last couple of years, and November has been quite mild. I think, if we met in Brum, I'd have to bring DD1 with me. I'm not brave at travelling on my own to an area that I'm not familiar with.

Yes, it was sad that the other forum meet didn't happen, especially as I'd persuaded OH that he really would like a couple of days in one of our favourite places :rotfl:. 6 of us did meet up the year before, though, in Sussex. A lady who lives just in Scotland was down south for a holiday, so it was a good chance to meet. Another member has become a very close friend, and lives in north Hants, so she and her OH have been here, and we've been up to visit her. We share a love of horses, as she helps out with some shires near her.
  • Hello everybody!!

I haven't been on for a few days, having a really awful time with my teenage son who has turned into a monster lately!!! I've just been doing the basics around the house this week, mr farmer must have noticed my downward spiral as he suggested we go away for the weekend :j!!! So we're off to Yorkshire for the weekend - i didn't need to be asked twice!!

I've got our bags packed, just need to load up the car and get going in the morning!!!

Hope everybody is ok on here (haven't had time to catch up on the posts!!)

    Jxx

Farmerswife, have a really lovely couple of days. It's not often that farming couples get to go away, so enjoy chilling! Seems to be a lot of this teenage son problem about. A friend on another forum (mentioned to Cat earlier) is having huge trouble with her DD2.

FW, have a lovely weekend x

Cat, sounds like a nice day x

I didn't do much yestertday but at least I did something.

1st hour today, recycling done and cups moved from the lr in to the kitchen.

    2nd hour, fridge sorted out.

3rd hour, washed out the wheelie bin. It stunk but it is done now.

4th hour, bed made and curtains opened and laundry put in the basket.

5th hour, dishes done, worktops cleaned and hob cleaned and grill pan cleaned.

    Morning everyone!

We had a mini tidy up at 10 last night, we watched the hoarding programme and it traditional style DH said "I can't not clean something now" so he sorted out the recycling, which is his job and really needed doing, we washed up and put the dishes away, cleaned the sink and draining board and I swept the living room, dining area and kitchen. So the kitchen looked lovely when we got up today.

We also wrote a shopping list for our picnics next week. We're on holiday for a few weeks but need to stick to a budget so we've been busy planning for that. A couple of big trips out, a couple of medium trips but inexpensive places and then a lot of local things.

This morning I have done my minimum jobs and that's all. Have a good day.
