My home is a mess

There's no such thing as 'only' a dog,(or any pet) in my book, what a massive loss for the family. Such sad news Kitty. Greyhounds... I just had a nice letter from Retired Greyhound Trust. I support them with a smallish monthly donation Apparently it costs nearly £800 to re-home a greyhound, so it must be a very thorough process.
I have the motivation of choosing clothes to take on a short break to get me through the ironing. I always take too much but the pal I go with often ends up borrowing items - sometimes permanently! This is with my say-so though. I have a habit of buying trousers that are just a bit short for me - but not her, she's done well out of that one.
Keep going, messies...Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Thankyou, I have never heard of that before.'He who thinks he must be obeyed', soworried. I know cos a friend used to call her OH that.
It's really awful that you have to go to that much effort, gilly. Your poor DS.

Spent best part of the day on the phone to G4S again today and only got to speak to a more senior person when I threatened to go to the press  , hoping to hear something positive soon, but not holding out any true hope
Since I got in from work I have prepared a chicken casserole for tonight's dinner, put a wash load on and done some ironing - Nick Buckle's head was underneath every item - quite cathartic :rotfl:
Going to clean the room of doom next - DS's bedroom - don't normally go in there but as he is having such a crap time I am going to make it more comfortable - please send a search party if I am not out in 2 hours :rotfl::rotfl:
I posted at 6.05 and I am back at 7.58, 7 minutes to spare :T
One recycling bag filled
One normal bin bag half filled
Dirty wash basket half filled
Now the question is cup of tea or something stronger :beer:0 -

Thanks for your kind words, all

Tax credits form done. Whew. But at least that means my accounts are done. Pity the Revenue won't let me have my online password, but my tax return is looking far less scary now.
Client cheques posted to bank. House insurance renewed at half the premium last year's insurer was asking
Travel insurance and travellers' cheques ordered. I'm an old fashioned girl...I've had enough scares with plastic (rejected by machines/stolen) and I want to know American Express have my back (it's not like I qualify for any of their cards, and I'd be too mean to pay the annual fee if I did :rotfl:).
Oh..and a revolting loo unblocked (Yeuch!)
Demessying? What's that???

Hi everyone,
Yet again you've all put me to shame today!!
SoWorried - shame about the plate, but at least you didn't put the hob on and then put your hand on it and get burned.
I've done no housework today, been to the auction to buy some cows with mr farmer.
Last day of term tomorrow for the girls so I'm determined to change all the beds and put the ironing away before i go to pick them up at 1.30pm!!
Hope everyone is ok! Keep up the good work!!
JxIt's a farmers life for me......:j0
