:j:j:jYaaaaay laurel!!! Fab news! I remember how down you were a few months back, feeling unappreciated at work - you must feel good now? :D:D:D.

Welcome bobble hat, I'm with bearcub, just throw out what you can and store the rest for sorting later :)

Your flowers sound nice oldtractor, a good incentive to keep the space clear :) I like having flowers but not really the ones you get in our local fruit shop! What have you picked? :)

Very little demessing to report, though I did manage to set the sky box up ok. Been watching utter garbage on Sky 3D all day...:o And spending more dosh - I found a limited edition of Womanity perfume on Debenhams down from £50 to £25 and couldn't resist.....MUST stop now!!:o

In between times I've put my woolly jumpers into vacuum storage bags (don't ever call me a pessimist!:p), washed up and taken a few DVDs to the charity shop. I'm now feeling a bit icky - not sure if it's the pizza or the 3D watching :(

    hugs all xx

He's still in St.Ives, if anyone wants to hop on the train (Being accosted by old ladies according to my friend)

On Topic - You peeps (on the whole site) really give me the arris kick I need - it's not a total Zone of Doom, but I live on a boat and space is at a premium
Checking in with Flylady, making meal plans, eating out of the cupboard + freezer (before re-filling) Making task lists (and crossing stuff off:D) Actually taking stuff to the charity shop and now sorting (as per the post title ) I am through my University work and binning anything I have copies of on my hard drive.
Just wish we had enough decent weather to tidy my garden as well :(

DS has been on the phone and is well p***ed off.

Hotel expected him to pay for his food, but it is supposed to be included.

Transport has not turned up - so he has had to use his car but has limited fuel and even less money. Just transferred some emergency funds to his account

They have now given him 6 nights on, 1 off, 4 nights on, 1 off, 2 days on. 12 shifts in 14 days with no recovery time between the nights and day shifts.

:rotfl:And he is bored, as there is nothing to do:rotfl:

I feel so useless - have spent the last 3 hours on the phone. Food is sorted - it is included.
They are investigating the shifts and trying to get him moved somewhere busier.

On the de-messying front have moved 5 parcels to the post office - Ebay sales.

OH cooked dinner while I was on the phone and loaded DW

    Washing put on the line.

I'm sure he'd be happier there Gilly :/ Protecting Mr Oliver from the hordes of "mature" ladies :p I think he still lives in Stirling, I'm up there about 4 or 5 times a year for a few hours but I've never seen him wandering round the shops yet :o

This whole Olympic security business is a complete and utter shambles, sorry your DS is on the receiving end, it's shocking how people are treated :mad:

Calluna, aren't you lucky living on a boat!! Me and my dad were just saying a few days ago how we'd like to do that, though I'm not sure I could give up my books :p Sorry if this is terribly nosey but do you live alone? The other thing which would worry me is security and I'd be very nervous.

eta hope you feel better soon FW, just saw your post :( xx

Wow, so much has been going on. Feel like I ought to be replying to everyone but I can't keep it all in my head and computer is really slow tonight for checking back who's been doing what!

Had a meeting after work last night so was really late home. Came back to a lovely surprise - OH has sorted out all his carp in the living room and dusted all the surfaces :T (and hoovered by the time I got in this evening too!) I'm sure it is pure coincidence and nothing to do with the fact that his mum's coming in a couple of weeks :rotfl: I think perhaps he's realised that it was all his stuff - I have a small pile of carp in the corner of the room which has built up over the last couple of weeks and that is untouched. I expected the passive agressive "you need to deal with your rubbish" but it didn't happen so I think he's finally noticed that he's at least as messy as me, if not messier ;)

So lounge will be perfect if I can get off my backside and tidy my corner. Kitchen isn't too bad - needs maybe an hour of attention. Bathroom needs a proper deep clean (drains are stinky :() and bedroom is just a scary pit of (clean) clothes which don't seem to have a home but there's time to get those sorted. Nice to have the place back on track - just got to keep control until the queen mother's visit at the end of the month :rotfl:
