    Afternoon Messies.

Perhaps you hadn't done much when sonastin commented, sowooried, but you've sure made up for it now! :T

    Sonastin, maybe today, huh? :)

Possession, I thought the same as soworried - your wardrobe is something out of a horror Narnia. Instead of walking through into a land all white with snow, it's all black. From my experience, I suggest you get yourself a smaller wardrobe, and maybe a cat or dog that moults a lot. Because our house is small, we can only fit small wardrobes into our bedroom, so I'm very limited as to what I can keep. If we leave clothes about, our cat lies on them. Amazing how it pushes you to keep clothes put away.

Baileys Babe, brilliant stuff. Sorry, but I did laugh when I read that the cousins had to go into the WM, too. Is that legal? ;)

Yorkshirelass, it sounds as if you've done ok, even if you were fed up.

It seems that one of the top problems is not putting things away, doesn't it? And, although it's fairly easy to put a couple of items away (even if we don't actually do it), it soon mounts up. Lots of stuff lying around leads to not being able to clean properly. So, I'm making a point of putting things away that aren't going to be used again that day or, in the case of washing up, in the next couple of hours. Today, I've done just that, loaded WM, hung washing out, brought dry washing in, and folded and put away as appropriate. The hob, miraculously, doesn't need cleaning today, but I've cleared the work surfaces, and put papers in the recycling bin.

I decided today to take a leaf out of DD2's book, and go for a healthy brisk walk of around 2 miles. She does 6 miles every day, usually running, but she's in her 20s. Walking will be fine for me! :) Oh, and I've done some gardening, mostly dead-heading.

If only the Wardrobe of Doom were out of Narnia, at least there would be more space at the back!:D
It's a fitted triple wardrobe, and it just has too much stuff, there's no way round it. But it didn't get done today as I had a work crisis and DH went to Brum to see recruitment consultants and it won't get done tomorrow as he has to amend his CV twice for 2 different jobs and since half the stuff is his I can't do it on my own. Also I'm afraid if I do it on my own I'll get sucked into the Doomness and never escape.

 Oh no, we can't have that, Possession. It's definitely a job that needs doing with someone else present. Don't forget to tie a rope around you, so your OH can pull you out if there's a problem! ;) Oh, this could be the start of a new writing project! :)

    Hi All

I need to get back in the groove with you, but wedding plans, ill health and our new puppy is taking up so much time.

DF inspired me on Saturday - he sorted clutter on the floors upstairs and then cleaned the carpets. He is out for the night so I am now going to spend the next hour doing my bit - DW loaded after dinner which he cooked :T. Have put some washing on and now going to hoover and dust the lounge and sort some paperwork - my forte.

Then I am going to chill with a book, no TV, and no it is not 50 shades of grey - my blood pressure can't cope with that :rotfl:

    Well done to everyone :T

    Hi all!

SoWorried - well done, you've really got into the swing of things!!

Bearcub - you are so right about putting things away, i must try harder!!!

Yorkshirelass - how was the pie??

I've hoovered through the whole house today, i must have looked a right state when i'd finished cos it was sooo muggy and warm! Been to tennis training tonight with the girls, came back to find son on sofa not feeling well (although he won't admit it!).

Fingers crossed for good weather tomorrow as we're going to the Yorkshire show!!

    Jx

    Not a lot tbh
But got so much to do as going on holiday soon :-s, though do have a lot of food to take with us as no idea what shops are close by (never been Barmouth ever ) scared of the drive and how it's going to affect me physically, hubby doesn't drive eeek think it's really time he did learn just incase I'm ever in a state where I can't do.
I still also needed to get a cake made forvthe holiday as a promise to my eldest, I didn't get time to make her birthday cake earlier in the year yet I did her sisters so I promised her one for the holiday :-) >.<
