In the last hour i have unloaded the dishwasher and hung up a load of washing to dry. This is working - i added the washing because i wanted to post more than the dishwasher.

hello,
I have been missing under an essay and was meant to go on a date today but have cancelled due to the state of the house which is MINGING in the extreme.
I would post a to do list but that might make me cry
so instead I will fill you in on the exciting details later.

Hi Messies!
SoWorried - You really are doing great, good luck with the `hours` plan!
(I`m not joining in cos I`m SO pooped after the last few shifts, today I`m doing the barest minimum as I`ve only got the one day off then 2 more long ones! Haven`t even had the energy to post till now, though I have read every morning briefly...)
Gilly Bean - you must be close to hatching now, soon fit behind the steering wheel again!
FA*1 - nice to hear from you again!
Laurel - Daftie-dogs` new collar arrived yesterday, she`s now looking lovely in red...I will report any improvement in due course.
Well done you folks who have managed to get anything done, & (HUGS) to those who haven`t and are feeling too pooped to care (like me at present!) Hope you all have a decent Sunday anyway, whichever applies!
Messy status report -
Strimmer Man has been while I was at work - still a work in progress, he`s doing what he can when weather allows. Some enormous privet well chopped, now weirdly light when I open the back door. Still loads more to go though. About a third of the `jungle` has been strimmed down too, could access washing lines now but laundry pile will keep till next days off.
I`ve kept on top of kitchen/cooking, but that`s about it. Today I have to sew- uniform repair job! And an early night.
I`ll catch up mid-weekxx0 -
Oh dear, i appear to have stalled. All i've managed in the last two hours is to have a shower and get dressed. I've drunk loads of coffee but now just want to sleep.

Afternoon Messies. So the challenge started well! :T Come on, Itchyfeet, you can do it!farmerswife75 wrote: »Not got much done here today, had to tell our worker that he is being made redundant yesterday and i feel terrible for having to let him go
!
That must be a really tough thing to do, farmerswife. Our local farm made two people redundant last year, and cut down the hours of another drastically. They still have two farm 'workers', and one man to do maintenance. OH and I reckoned that one of those made redundant was the hardest worker of the lot, but he was primarily a livestock man, and the farm decided to concentrate on arable this year, so I suppose it was obvious, really.
I don't blame you for doing the minimum, Emms. Must be hard getting yourself to do anything. You've allowed a Strimmer Man into your garden!? Bit drastic, isn't it?
Buffy, lovely to see you again. It sounds as if the essay was a nightmare. How long was it? Or is the answer "too long!"?
This morning, I put a load into the WM, and hung it out when I got home. After a gloriously sunny morning, it's now raining again, so I've had to bring the washing back in.
Have cleared away last night's washing-up, and that's it until the tennis is over, I'm afraid. 0 -
Yeah just over three weeks to go, won't be long.
Today I have tidied the kitchen
Put DW on
Emptied DW
Hung washing the line
Made the bed
Got mince out of the freezer for tea
Laid on the sofa and watched the tennis.
Got some bits and bobs I want to do this week, but I'm thinking that as long as we tidy as we go along, each room should take about 15 minutes to clean and will be spotless.0 -
Sewing done. I sat outside to do it, before sky clouded over. It is now piddling down. (Again)
Rubbish collected & bins out for tomorrow
Lamb cooked & veg prepped for this evening.
Petrol topped up in car.
...am now resisting the urge to get Henry out to play...
Bearcub, Strimmer Man is a neighbour`s son who spent a lot of his childhood in this garden, playing, making `dens` & camping in them etc., he has a great affection for it & that`s why he`s doing it in bits at a time, as well as because of weather limitations. It really does need some management but not as drastic as it sounds - you should see it!
ItchyFeet & SoWorried & Bearcub- I don`t have a liking for tennis as an excuse, but you`ve done some stuff earlier, so reward yourselves!
YL - my DD has just acquired a bread machine & says she`s now enjoying playing with it, experimenting, etc.
FW - I`d have made Mr Farmer break the news.
Buffy - my list would make me cry too!! Just make a `done` list, and write "ESSAY" in VERY LARGE LETTERS! Then do baby steps stuff and add them underneath when done.
We`re going to have an early supper & watch Henry IV part 1 on iplayer.
Bye till mid-week xx0 -

Buffy that list is amazing and more than I have done since April, well done

Well done Emm and Gilly and Itchy feet and bearcub :j
I went awol after my earlier posts as my parents called needing me to go. It is a 130 mile round trip so I have not got anything else done. It did help me to focus this morning though so I am going to it again tomorrow.
I do not care how small the task is, it is more that I am moving and achieving something every hour.
I hope everyone is well x£36/£240
