Hi YL. An experienced doctor should realise that things aren't quite right. Were you able to say anything about his mood swings?

Thanks Bearcub. I think the Doctor is aware of the problems my son is having which is good because not all Consultants are understanding about mental health issues. I just dont think anyone really knows what to do. Counselling is no good because my son wont talk to anyone about his feelings so we meet with a psychologist without my son being there. The idea is that we can learn parenting techniques to help our son. At the moment I am not sure this approach is really working and I feel a bit out of my depth.

Oh I dont know, its been a busy week and I am tired and a bit emotional.

At least with this awful weather we have been cooped up inside so have got quite a bit of housework done! The house looks reasonably OK so I am going to schedule in some time for myself this weekend.

Hope everything goes OK at the dentist Snookey (shudders at the thought).

Hope its not too wet for you all and the rest of your Friday goes well. YL x

<HUGS> YL, it's no wonder you feel tired and emotional. I know exactly how it feels to watch a child 'going under', and being totally unable to help. I felt as if I was a dead loss to my DD, and was sure, if I tried really, really hard, I'd find the right words, but I never could. Yes, if you can, take time out for yourself - it can only be good for you. You need re-charging.

Snookey, the collar sounds a great idea to me, not that I've ever had a dog. Our lovely next door neighbours have a young dog, who continually yaps when out in the garden - it drives me mad, although she's a very cute animal.

Rosalie-lavender, your DSs sound a nightmare but, from what I've heard, they're not unusual for male students. The towel thing made me smile. :rotfl: I don't envy you the task of sorting them out, though.

Sonastin, don't get too discouraged about the mess. Most of it is, after all, pretty easily taken care of, as you'd previously done a good job. You'll just have to do toddler steps instead, maybe. ;)

Witha forecast last night of fair weather here, and a cloudy but bright start, I loaded up the WM. Bad move! While we were at the yard, the heavens opened, and I now have washing hanging in the conservatory. Bread made in BM, all rooms bar the conservatory vacuumed, bathroom done, and I shall be changing the bedding before OH goes out because, once he does, I can guarantee that the cat will wake up and come to find me!

    Hi everyone

I have just spent the afternoon catching up on over a weeks posts (behind because of a combination of technical problems & being out lots). It feels like it has rained constantly since the beginning of June, I know it hasn't as I've found 2 windows to cut the grass. On the demessing front nothing much has happened :o

Soworried you have achieved a huge amount, remember to reward yourself. If things slip again DON'T beat yourself up, keep posting & reading and you will get there.

Cat wow I wish I could find your motivation, hope your having a great holiday.

I must get off my backside and do something.

    Thankyou Baileys babe :)

I opened the bedroom curtains, made the bed, got dressed, tidied the bedroom, dusted the bedroom and washed the kitchen floor.

Probably around half an hours work but I am pleased. I feel a little stronger today :) I think it is because my husband was here and he did the washing, dishes and things. This last few months has been so hard on him. He works such long hours then has to cope with me at the moment :(

I hope everyone has had a great day.

Well in the last hour and a half I have:
    sorted the washing
    emptied WM
    emptied the airers
loaded the WM (on timer to run over night)
Sorted some paper work (forms filled etc, nothing scary just things that keep getting put off)
cleared some of my emails from my inbox
    emptied BM
chatted to friend on phone (haven't seem them in over 2 months, normally see them every week to 10 days, arranged for my family to visit them tomorrow for lunch, their turn to have a mad tidy up tonight :rotfl:)
    ate dinner
    small amount of general tidying
    OH has:
    Cooked dinner
    Emptied DW
    Loading DW
    washed up
cot the children ready for bed
meal planned for tomorrow & Sunday
I am very impressed with what he has achieved and I didn't ask him to do any of it.

Before bed I want to put the wet washing on the airer.

But he must be so pleased that you're doing things now. He'll be encouraged, I'm sure.

Bailey's Babe, that's an impressive list, and so is your OH's. :)

Evening everyone, I hope you are all well.

Today I opened the bedroom curtains, made the bed, got dressed, tidied the bedroom, went shopping and baked a cheese and onion tart, bacon and cheese savouries and cheese straws.

Hubby did the dishes, benches and washing again.

I'm going to set my self a challenge tomorrow to do something every hour, no matter how small the task is. Anyone want to join in? :)

Oh wow, soworried, you're on a roll, aren't you? :) Not sure I can quite join your challenge. For a start I'll be at church 10am - noon, not a 2 hour service, but we have coffee and a good natter afterwards. Tbh, though, I'm a fidget anyway, so I'm not usually sitting doing nothing, just I'm sometimes in the habit of doing nothing in particular!
