Mm, unless it's an illness you can see, my Mum's never been particularly sympathetic, either, farmerswife. Tough, isn't it?
Hope you pick up a bit tomorrow.
Oo, just remembered, I hope Faith's mum's visit is going well.0 -
That is the reaction I keep getting. That and "Just get on with it" I hope you feel a little bit brighter today. Maybe do what I have the last two days and post the little you have donefarmerswife75 wrote: »Hi messies!!!

I use to be a bit judgemental towards my best friend (never to her face though) constantly going on "happy pills" as she calls them until I got ill.
The old saying don't judge until you have walked a mile in their shoes.
I can remember goin over to my nans and her having a real go at me that "this is life darling put up or shut up!" and various other "helpful" tips. My mum took me home cause she saw it was upsetting me
. She later rang my nan and tore her a new one down the phone (first time she has EVER stood up to my nan)
My mum was a saint through it all even though she lived so far away. She ended up taking me home with her to Inverness for nearly a month to keep an eye on me I was that much of a mess. That's what you need around you people who don't ask questions just there in the background when you can summon up the energy to talk to them.
I have a new found respect since then for anyone who has to suffer with depression, anxity, panic attacks ect
Soworried you did great with your deadline. That is such a good idea well done!
Famerswife just ignore your mum and do something to give you a boost

Hi All
welcome SoWorried & other new messies. I wanted to say I am really really impressed with all your achievements to date SoWorried. keep posting as you'll be able to look back on each little step you accomplished and build on each achievement.
I have also been there and done that... including a (small) sectioned spell in the hozzy... I find it SO inspiring & motivational to read everyone's posts (even if I don't post that often myself I have subscribed to the thread so I can read everyone's antics).
Today I have managed
strip our bed
WM x 2 (one overnight on cheap leccy) and on the line as it's (mostly) sunny here
DW x 1 (overnight on cheap leccy) emptied & refilled (lolz)
sort out dry clothes and chuck into respective rooms
turn matress
freze left over chilli & red kidney beans (cooked from dried - MAN they take FOREVER to be ready!!)
school run DS#2
taxed my motorcycle (6 months = £30.25) ready for this weekend's show & ladies day near Wales.
cash for clothes :j(£13.15) to put towrds ticket for bike show etc
Going to take bike into milknbeans to sign on and pay in sofa cash (it's money I find down the back of the sofa that I chuck into a jar, when the jar is full I cash it in) HWTHMBO counted it up last night and it's £14.00 (mostly pennies!), but the tax on the bike will eat that up.
Got to put boys disposable cameras in to get developed and a couple of other bits sods whilst in milknbeans.
then back home to collect car and then back out to do school run DS#1 (will go out and get DS#2 after playscheme)
need to sort out rest of school holidays which grandparent is having which child on which week...
I'm out training again for the midnight moo this evening, another 7 miles
<where's the worn out smiley when you need it>
just need some inspiration for tonights tea, this it'll be chicken kiev from a packet... unless anyone else has any other ideas?
Keep up the good work messies!

Hi all, well done FA, I felt tired just reading that!
Been to hospital, son wouldnt even look at the Doctor never mind speak to him which is better than him saying he is OK I suppose! Because its such a lovely sunny day we made a detour on the way home and stopped for a walk on the beach and a big icecream for my boy. Got to be better than any medication.
I feel really tired this afternoon, have just sorted the devastation left by OH and younger son in their attempts to get ready for work and school and I am now going to do some gentle pottering for the rest of the afternoon.
Hope the rest of the day goes well for everyone, especially those of us feeling a bit fragile. x0 -
Faith, how did last night's visit go?
Since DD2 started suffering with depression at 17, I've always been there for her. It was after she'd left home, that I hit a wall myself (nothing to do with her leaving home, just delayed reaction to the stress of her illness), so I know how she felt, although I wasn't nearly as deeply in as she was. Even now, if she wants to talk over anything, then I'm here on the end of the phone, and she knows that. As it is, she's now a lot better, and has a lovely bf who knows just how to react when she's down. They met when she was as low as she could get, so nothing would surprise him, bless him.
FA, long time, no see, although I'd only just started on here before you disappeared. Impressive list of de-messying, and very MSE! :T
Over the last two days, I've not done very much, tbh, as far as de-messying is concerned. I did de-mess the horses' field this morning, though - does that count?
OH did a wonderful job last week of tidying up the garage, and taking a load of bits to the dump, so I thought I'd do my bit and clean the outsides of the freezers, which were filthy. I've decided that the loo and wash basin must be cleaned every day, and the shower and floor every couple of days. It's small, but cost us a lot to have it done, and it's lovely, so we must look after it. Also, kitchen work surfaces and hob to be done every day. Basically, I have no excuse at all for not doing these things - yes, I have some commitments, but I am retired, so more useful stuff, and less sitting playing computer games. Today, I've done some gardening, and am about to do some more. The wet mild weather has made everything grow so much! 0 -

Hi YL. An experienced doctor should realise that things aren't quite right. Were you able to say anything about his mood swings?0 -
I didn't get much done today. It has done nothing but rain here

I did get the oven cleaned though for the first time in months
