Psych appt tomorrow. If it wasn't for DS who's being lovely I'd wish they'd just section me and have done with it.

    Farmers wife your welcome.

Cat half the time they cant section people due to no beds which is just as well as you dont need four walls staring back at you. Kids always put blame on parents. Hope the psych goes well.

What a difference the sun makes, this afternoon we have:
    Laundry:
    All clean washing away
    1 WM load
    dried washing outside
WM loaded and set to run overnight
    Dish washing:
    DW emptied 3 times
    DW 2 loads
DW loaded just waiting breakfast dishes
    Washing up masses
Dry up what was left from previous washing up session plus all the drying generated today (I can't remember the last time my draining board was clear:eek:)
    Gardening:
Grass cut (took forever as the grass has shot up recently due to all the rain)
    Strimmed
    Emptied 4 old grow bags
Harvested potatoes for a project we're doing
    Also:
    Shredded all our confidential waste
put the porridge to soak for the morning
set the BM to run over night
I hope it is sunny tomorrow as I would like another productive day, I actually enjoyed myself, strange but true.

Hi all, been away for a very restful (budget) holiday. Weather was a bit pants at times but there you go.

Just catching up - Cat the one thing I have learnt is that your feelings are very real and should never be dismissed. Even if it doesnt make sense to anyone else that doesnt make it wrong to feel unhappy or worthless. Persevere with the treatment and good luck hun. Hope you get things sorted with your son too, the school came down heavy handed with us at first and it was awful.

Farmers Wife - yes my son has Crohns too - small world eh? Unfortunately he has depression and anxiety too. Pm me if you want to chat.

Laurel - I have followed the story of your garden for months and it was so good to see the photos, its beautiful and you should be so proud!

I made a startling realisation at 4am this morning. DS2 came home yesterday and said something had gone wrong at school and I wanted to storm in there and sort it out. Then in the middle of the night I realised I am trying to control his life too much. DS1 has a crap life and I cant make it better so I want to fix everything for DS2. He is 11 now and has to learn that sometimes life is unfair and things go wrong. I cant protect him from everything. Sigh.

As for the house, well after being away for a week its not looking too terrible and I kind of feel a bit more determined to do some of the jobs that I have been putting off.

Hi to Kitty, Emm, Bearcub, Snookey, Sonastin, JPs and others. Glad to see we are still recruiting new messies. This has to be one of the friendliest threads I have come across.

Gentle pottering is the name of the game today. Sorting as I go. Hugs x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Hi Messies!
Cat - hope your psych appt goes well.
MuffinMan - you sound a lot more positive today, enjoy!
    Wilf - enjoy your break.
BaileysBabe - that list of jobs done is Impressive.
Yorkshirelass - I know what you mean about feeling over-protective - I`m like that with OH sometimes!!!
Molly - I`m with you today on the gentle pottering - sunshine helps, but today I felt like just enjoying the weather...

    So far..
I`ve got one WM load done, but not putting it out yet as next door is burning some rubbish. No rush.
I`ve slopped some colour on my grey bits with the aid of next doors eldest, Bless her.
I`ve decided not to go anywhere today, have to do some errrands tomorrow anyway, so today`s `out there` jobs will keep. Went and got changed into strappy vest & `garden` skirt to potter in the sun - then it clouded over. I`ll go potter outside anyway.
Have a nice day folks. xx

Feeling quite pleased with myself because I have cleaned the bathroom properly - including all the out of sight bits behind the loo and pipes.

Kids beds stripped - 2 loads of washing done, one bed made back up again and one load still to go out. Yesterdays washing sorted and what doesnt need ironing has been folded and put away.

I have also done some paperwork, answered e-mails, checked the online banking and made doctors and opticians appointments so it feels good to get that sorted.

I have a couple of jobs in the garden that I really need to do while its dry but I am off to hoover the kids bedrooms first. Just realised its only quarter to two! Thats what happens when you get up at 5am because you cant sleep.

I could lose my motivation very quickly so I had better keep moving I think. Hope everyone is having a good day x
