    Good Evening x
I hope you dont mind me joining you. I think I may have posted a while ago but have been lurking. The hoarders thread has really made think about my messy home.

On the surface it looks quite tidy but both the house and garden need some urgent attention. Im fairly limited in what I can do as Im quite disabled and my poor husband is run off his feet. I do have a cleaner once and sometimes twice a week who does the heavy stuff and kid's bathroom. My dining room is a disaster area atm and full of boxes (my hoards) as does my bedroom.

Today I did clean out my piggies with my son's help. I also dusted the living room and partly cleaned my shower.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Hello Molly and welcome to the messiest forum! Well, maybe that should be the de-messiest forum, really. We aim to encourage de-messying, but realise it's not always possible. It sounds as if you have a bit of a problem with the practicalities of clearing up, but you can do some, so bit-by-bit, maybe? That way, you know you're making an effort without wearing yourself out.

So, you have piggies, too? I think that's at least three, maybe four of us. How many of them do you have?

    Thanks for the welcome x

I have finally caught up. We were away for a week and this last week I have been having computer problems. Since we've come home I prioritised catching up with this thread :rotfl:

Today has been very grey, which I find more depressing than the rain for some reason.

I have started a long overdue sort of the kitchen drawers 4 done 1 to go, I doubt I'll finish it today :o

I need to put the groceries away before I go to bed.

I'll try to report back with any progress made.

Cat hope things are working themselves out .
Hi Molly welcome more messy people, fantastic.
Iv now a working shower . The company just replaced the whole unit.
Im not feeling too well due to the two bob bits. Sorry if that offends. Iv had it for weeks off and on and now its even worse. Gp may be worth a visit.
Dad has gone home for the day and night. Im not sure if he will come back to stay. Will seem odd if he does as he has been with us since March.
Kitty a pat on the back well deserved.
Well Im off to bed. Night night everyone.

Hi Messies! I`ve done NOTHING here for last 2 days except do a quick late supper after work, sleep, get up for work again... lie in this morning, then a quick shower - and THREE phone calls from work about swapping a shift!!! It gets worse! I`m nipping out to shops in a min (hair still sopping wet but it`s raining anyway...)
    Just want to say-
Cat -((HUGS)) - so sorry to hear you sound so unhappy, I do hope you`ll feel better soonxxx.
Molly - welcome, the more Messies the merrier!
Snookey - GP is a good idea, if only to put your mind at rest. Do it!

Drags self off to forage in supermarket....

Thanks Emm, snookey, bearcub :) Bearcub - believe the first! And the second too. I have my CPN tomorrow and next week, a psychiatrist::j It's time to finally face up to some bloody hard truths about myself, who I am, and how I behave because I can't go on messing up everything and everyone. I won't be able to change the past whatever happens and I'm not sure I can forgive myself for that - but maybe the future :)

snookey definitely go to the doctor xx hope everything is ok xx

oh dear Emm, those phone calls sound frustrating and stressful! :( xx

    Welcome Molly :) xx

oh god as usual nothing to report house-wise, in my head I actually do want to get things sorted, it's just my body is refusing to co-operate:mad: And as long as there's tennis on tv (I LOVE the grass court season, short as it is), it's not going to change. Still, as has been said, there are DEFINITELY more important things to deal with right now :) Thanks for all your support - if you knew what a selfish, childish cow I was you probably wouldn't give it but thank you anyway!! xxx

eta Emm, just remembered there was something I wanted to ask you, I have a huge pile of a certain woman's magazine, I actually bought rather a lot of copies for the free gift as it was something I really like and use a lot, and it's saved me a LOT of money in the long run. I could just put them all into recycling, but would they be any use in a hospital??

    Afternoon Messies.

Emms, how dare work call you to change shifts when you're having 'you' time! So inconsiderate! Don't they want refreshed staff?

Cat, still more hugs. It took my dd2 years to finally admit that she had a problem that wasn't going to go away without expert help. What made her seek help in the end was that she was terrified of losing her bf. She still has occasional down times, and problems with her self-esteem, but she's so much better now. I hope it works for you. Just don't expect it to be a miraculous immediate 'cure', though, but be determined that it is going to work, and know that, one day, you will be able to forgive yourself or, at least, come to terms with it all. And, if you're in the same state that dd2 was in, I know quite well how 'selfish' you are, cos you can't help but be totally inward looking. Mwah!

Snookey, get the hence to a physician asap, if it's gone on for a long time.

Have been into town this morning, and visited Mr M, where we bought more than we thought we would. Nothing bought that's extra (apart from a bathmat at £5 :)), but just foods we thought we'd buy there and then at more reasonable prices than in shops nearer home.

The weather's a lot better today, although not quite what you'd hope for in June. Now, do I put the WM on? Yes! Since it's actually not raining today, I'm going for a wander in the garden to see how much damage has been done.

bearcub that's brilliant, just what I need! I don't need harsh criticism but equally I don't need people saying "oh don't be silly, you're lovely, there's nothing wrong with you". Thank you for believing me! It's really good to hear how your DD has turned things round. So much hard work to come but it's come to a crunch time now so I'm in it for the long haul!:)

This evening though I'm afraid I'm doing something for me (as usual!) so not a great start. I have an appointment with a consultant plastic surgeon about rhinoplasty. A decision 25 years in the making and now I'm finally lucky enough to be able to do something about it.

I'm looking at the awful mess and it's all so bitty if you know what I mean - I'm struggling to know where to start. I keep doing tiny little bits but those tiny little bits aren't adding up to anything as they usually would. I've got a bit of a mental block about it all.

I've been to Mr M today too, but only for a few things. It's not my first choice, I find it a bit on the expensive side but it was handiest.
