My home is a mess

Rosie - I think you deserve a lazy day after your achievements!
Hope you are OK Kitty, I am sure you will feel better once you have seen the nurse.
Stuff from DSs bedroom is everywhere - our bedroom, the lounge, the kitchen, the hall, everywhere. This makes trying to clean or tidy impossible and I really cant be bothered to try. I am in a complete CBA mood today. My MIL gave me some seedling to !!!!! out and I cant even be bothered with those which is not like me. I will feel so bad if they die though!
....In fact I am going to make myself go down to the greenhouse for an hour, its got to be better than looking at the mess in the house. Roll on tomorrow when the new carpet is fitted and I can get his bedroom put back together!0 -
Oooh, just looked back and my post and noticed the word that has been bleeped out - so funny.
Off to the greenhouse now. I want to type it again but will resist!0 -

Miasnanny I like the idea of sorting a fridge shelf each time you go to it. Great idea and one I hadn't thought of.
I do try to do something quickly each time I'm waiting for the kettle to boil. It is amazing what you can do in just a wee bit of time.
Kitty I agree with the otheres that if anything was badly wrong, that they would have done something about it there and then. Seeing the nurse will give you a bit of reassurance at least. As someone who nursed for many years, my one wee bit of advice would be...... if the docs or nurses don't seem overly worried, then don't be stressing yourself either. Most things, even cardiac problems, can be sorted out very easily, so don't be thinking the worst.
Yorkshirelass Enjoy your new carpet when you get it down. It'll feel great also putting everything back all clean and without all the unnecessary clutter which you are not going to put back in there!Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

And there was me thinking you were just being very polite and bleeping it yourself:DFather Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

rosie - thanks for the support! went to see my grandma after work and she helped put stuff into perspective so I'd calmed down by the time I got home. and OH asked for sausage, eggs, chips and beans for dinner so I didn't have to spend the whole night cooking - or even deciding what to cook!
yorkshirelass - of course there's no point in trying to do housework while you're waiting for the carpet fitters. that would be positively making work for yourself. the bedroom is gonna be easy to do as you're putting stuff back and then everywhere else will be tonnes easier to do one his stuff has been re-homed so why waste time fighting it today! really want to make a clever play on the word pr!ck but can't so I guess you'd better just go and play with the plants!
miasnanny - is the cleaner like them karcher window cleaners that you see advertised on TV? OH keeps talking about wanting one of them and its his birthday later this month. not a very romantic b'day present but he's already told me not to get anything & save my money for the house. If I can get a just-as-good one from argooos, sounds good to me. If its not the same thing, maybe we give it a try anyway!0 -
Very unproductive day yesterday, the telling off i gave mysef the other day didn't work. Just felt really tired all day and then had a good cry and curled up to watch the tv.
On the plus side i did cook a very nice tea
Roast chicken
Yorkshire pudding
curly kale
cauliflower/brocolli cheese
and i even did the dishes afterwards
Had an early night and feel much more with it today, have written myself a little list of what i want to do today, and then when OH is awake (on nights) we are going to go and get a curtain pole for the nursery.
I have no idea what is for tea tonight though, will have to come up with something0 -
Sonasta its more adaptable than the karcher window cleaner advertised. It comes with a wire brush for the oven, an adapter for window cleaning, a concentrater nozzle, a little brush thingy for getting the limescale round the base of taps and some of them have an adapter for upholstery cleaning.
I know that mine in Argoose is under £33 its a reliable 'name' I use mine a dozen times a day and I have had it 5 years. Its also useful for giving clothes a quick blast if you don't want to get the ironing board out (or in my case too lazy) HTH xx0 -
Hi All
Been awake for hours, OH in France and DSS out for the night so only me and little pup in the house ;-(
So far have done one wash load and it is on the line, not very warm out, but bright and blowy so fingers crossed. Second load in now.
DW load done, waiting to cool so I can unload
Other jobs for today are hoover throughout, forgot what hard work a dog is. Some patchwork carpet cleaning - puppy spills
Sort our bedroom which is full of clutter - was going to car boot but cannot see when we are going to have the time so may just send better stuff to charity shop and bin the other treasures.
Puppy class - first one so could be interesting :rotfl:
Have a good day all
