Sorry to hear about the crappy time with the kitchen BBThree... I remember I had my house rewired by bodgitt and scarper while I was living in it... it was so awful I ended up in tears every night till they'd finished (leaving me with brick dust and debris all over the place). It'll all be worth it when it's done!

:j Kitty a sewing machine... oooo! I got a new one (half price argos deal, and used my nectar points to bring the price down too) at christmas and I'm loving playing with it.

Messy status... even messier than usual. Hey ho. Too tired to be worried

See, being messy has its uses :D If your house was immaculate he'd be there all day ... or more likely really uncomfortable because tidy houses are unnatural :rotfl:

Well I've not done much, not that it's a surprise.

Went to the dentist for my second bit of root canal to find I had gone 24 hours early, baby brain has set in!
So went to Mr T and did the shopping and then tidied the kitchen

    That's it

So back to the dentist tomorrow

The first time I read this I thought why are you putting your bedding in to hoover bags, is this a new fad that I have yet to hear about :rotfl:Then realised that you meant the bags that you use the hoover to remove the air (just like the ones we use to store clothes in the loft)

On the messie front hardly done a thing as I've had a lovely day out with the children, but I did manage:
    • Empty DW
    • Load DW
    • Make tomorrows porridge
    • Cook dinner
    • Empty rubbish bin
    • Empty recycling bin
Just realised some days I don't achieve this even with out going out for the day :o

I'm off to bed now for some much needed sleep

    Hi fellow messies.
Haven't been on for a while, but feeling rather chuffed witrh myself so thought I would bore all you lot!

After having back pain for about 2 months, I can now do pretty much normal stuff again. This week I have.....

Sorted out the top of my wardrobe which was an avalanche risk!
Got space up there and in the bottom (also cleared) enough to tidy away clutter from the bedroom and cleaned the surfaces.

Moved all the furniture in the living room and hoovered and mopped under and behind, and cleaned the skirting boards.

Decluttered and cleaned the book case in the hall and even did the top of it!

Cleared and degreased all the cluttered corners on the kitchen workbench.

Got down on hands and knees and cleaned the bathroom, kitchen, hall and porch floors rather than just mopping.

Washed out the walls around the bin so all the food ricochet marks have gone.

Washed the walls up the staircase of all the dirty finger marks.

Scrubbed the living room rug so it looks like new.

Blitzed the kids' room including corners and under bed!

Phew! I have to say it does feel really good.

P.S. Cleaned the top of the high kitchen cupboards today...... awful black grease which took a fair bit of scrubbing off. They are now lined with paper to make it a breeze in the future. I had forgotten to put paper up there before, which is why I have put off cleaning it for about 5 yrs cos I knew it would be bad!

BTW, it was scary standing on the ladder to do it, even though I was just a few steps up, but I hated it. What do you lot stand on to do 'high' jobs?

Rosie, you have been busy, well done!

I've realised that me not working, i've used it as an excuse to not do anything. Have given myself a kick up the a*se.

Went to the dentist and had the rest of my root canal treatment (with no numbing!!!!) and came home, posted off my maternity allowance forms so that's one job off the list.

Have been out with OH and taken the dogs for a walk along the river.
Made pastry for sausage and onion quiche that's for tea
Cleaned the kitchen and wiped down all the front of the cupboards.
Having a clear out of old paperwork that has found itself on the dining table.
Now going to start sorting out photographs.

Tomorrow is a new day and i know i've been lazy!!

yeh the bags you suction the air out of, not sure what they are really called :)

the funny thing is , they had leaks ... so the air wasnt staying in

so i hoovered them as small as i could then hurried them into the wardrobe, shoved a box on top of them then closed the doors, havent opened the wardrobe since, bet theyve exploded everywhere :rotfl::rotfl::T

the job centre man wasnt too bad :) he was here 20 mins maybe?

he said everythings fine and i wont have to see anyone again :)

    today:
    tidied
rearranged storage boxes and threw some more junk in them
    dishes
    sorted rubbish
    went to maths class
    went food shopping
    made ds packed lunch
    hoovered

    xx
