Can't believe how much a simple thing like not being able to have a cuppa discombobulated me.
I can relate to the lack of a cuppa very easily as a result I always refill the kettle after using it as well as the water jug at the end of each meal, that way if the water goes off - which it does quiet often, I am still able to have a cuppa and make a meal whilst dealing with the problem (complaining to Yorkshire Water as they are frequently the culprits).
So far today I have:- done a load of washing (need to put on the airer)
- baked some cakes with dd
- emptied the bin
- had a cuppa

Hi Messies, just a quickie before I go to work. Big ((HUGS)) to all, haven`t posted as I was trying to keep the ground I won during my hol. Hav e some `marathon` shifts now & the MESS could soon slide back...

I totally sympathise sonastin, that has to be one of the worst situations ever! I now (thanks to the "prepare for winter" thread) have a butane camping stove and a stove top kettle for loss of electric, but I never thought about water. I must get a few large bottles in just in case!
Hugs to all, good luck with those marathon shifts Emm, hope everyone has a great day.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

In addition to the above I eventually managed to:- Empty airers
- Put washing away
- Hang washing on airers
- Load WM (timer set so it will be finished in the morning)
- Empty DW
- Load DW
- Collected up all the clothes that have been abandoned downstairs
- Clothes taken upstairs
Not much to show for it, I went to bed before 9 pm last night and woke at about 8.30 this morning. Today I need to concentrate on the kitchen.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

evening all
today ive had a manicure day at a friends, and been to the drs (twice!)
cleaning wise, ive done dishes, put dishes away, made dinner, made ds packed lunch, took ds to and from school, done a load of machine washing, put clothes on airers, ive also broken down my 2 huge piles of washing, put them on hangers and hanged them all up in the wardrobe. visited elderly neighbour (have to go back up tonight to put her to bed). took ds to the duckpond, park and to the petshop to see the bunnies.
went to the drs this morning, some of you may remember a while back me mentioning arm pain.... the drs have decided its nothing to do with my arm and it is a heart thing.
had an ECG test today and have to go for a chest xray next week
................................
im sure ill be fine, but knowing my luck i doubt it lol(sorry, if i dont laugh ill cry:( )
fingers crossed, hope everyones well

Fingers crossed here for you kitty - try not to worry, it'll probanbly turn out to be nothing but if not, the tests are a good thing because they catch things very early that way, and can perform miracles these days too. I really hope it's nothing at all though.
Although I seem to have been tired all week, the week's gone quickly and I can't believe it's Friday tomorrow already!
Emm if you have a chance to read the thread, hope you are surviving the killer shifts ok.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Echoing JPS, do bear in mind that if the docs were really worried you'd have been whisked in and would be currently on bed-rest. Fingers firmly crossed for you.
(I gave myself a scare with chest and arm pain a while back. Then the penny dropped. I was relying too much on my walking stick for support when moving around because my hip hurt and the arm and chest were under strain. I upped the painkillers and that did the trick. )Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Kitty sending you hugs, hope the Drs get to the cause of the problem soon.
Yesterday I managed:
*Empty DW
*Load DW
*Make bread
*Make chicken stock
*Make desert
*Make dinner (I some how lost the knack of multitasking by the time I needed to cook dinner, I eventually served it about 2 hours later than usual, neither of the children played up during this delay, one advantage was OH arrived home (been away for work) just as I was about to serve so we were able to eat as a family)
*Empty airers
*Clean laundry put away
*Empty WM
*Hang washing on airers
*Load WM (then remove load again as their was a small pop sound as I went to set the program and now nothing shows on the display - hoping it is just a fuse, me & OH are planning on looking at later today (or maybe tomorrow))
*Retrieve bin from lane where bin men have abandoned it
*Clean bread bin
*Clean fridge
*Make beds
Not sure how such I'll get done today as it is already so late and I've barely done anythingFashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
