Laurel, my sympathies and well done for staying off. All that management idiocy is enough to make anyone sick, especially when it's disingenuous (isn't it always?) And you finished the cross stitch! :T
Well done yesterday Yorkshirelass! An 8 mile bike ride  I can only imagine how tender my bum would be!
Great to see you again FA#1!
And kitty, all I can say is  :j :T WELL DONE!
Okay, I'm tired and finding it hard to keep on top of the washing up let alone anything else. Where is that boundless energy I had when I was a kid?!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Well Iv done more, Im really sick ,lol.
Iv put in dads washing in as he had clothes piled in his room, cleaned the bedroom he is in, changed his bedding, cleaned the bathroom top to toe, brushed the stairs and landings, put more clean clothes away and Im now going to put the rest of the clean washing away.
Hugs to everyone.0 -
Kitty that kitchen looks really sparkly - no wonder you are chuffed.
Today has been a very exciting day because a nice man came along and fitted us a new back door. Its amazing, all white and shiny and new and best of all it fits, there is no huge gap letting all the freezing cold air in. This has taken a huge amount of juggling financially but I am so happy with it. It now makes the rest of the utility room look rather grubby but nothing can be done about that at the moment.
One of my neighbours also called around and asked me if I would check over her tax return. It took no more than half an hour but she insisted on giving me a tenner. I feel slightly guilty that I took it in the end - did the old "no I couldnt possibly" "oh please take it you have been such a help" then "oh well go on then".
Other than that have updated my banking spreadsheets, done a bit of dusting and hoovering downstairs, done a bit of ironing, and have dusted one computer desk. The other is still filthy.
And yes the bum (and back) is slightly sore. Even with padded shorts. I have got to keep the exercise routine going because the minute I stop running and cycling I start putting weight on. It also helps me to stay sane and I swear I am happier when I am getting plenty of exercise.
Right then, just off for another look at my new door and then I really should dust the other computer desk. Big hailstones coming down here, its like November.0 -
Snookey that's brilliant! I dream of getting that much done! Good for you.
Emm hope you feel better soon - you really must try to have a day or two just for you to chill as well.
Squeakysue, and Gilly, well done to you two too!
I *might* get a weekend to myself this weekend... chances are I won't get much done but I'm hoping for a burst of energy!
Yorkshirelass I agree, exercise definitely makes me feel great, it's just getting started that's the problem!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

I am supposed to be mending my daughter's school trousers but I am sitting here drinking coffee, reading how much everyone else has done instead. I really must get on though. The old trousers dd wore this morning are a little bit tight. Not bad though as a 17 year old to be able to fit in age 10/11 trousers. They were taken in on the waist too! How lucky she is to be so slim.0

Breaking news - have dusted the other computer desk. Have you ever looked at the back of your monitor and seen how dusty it is? Actually I would strongly suggest not to look, mine was disgusting.
And Rosalie I noticed this morning that my son has nearly put the knee through his school trousers, no chance of mending them unfortunately. And I have just bought my 13 yo a couple of new t-shirts as some of his were age 5-6!! He is very small because of his poorly health but your daughter must be very petite, lucky girl.0 -

Congratulations Gilly on your up coming marriage. Oh and I are going to tie the knot next year as we will have been together 19years!. Goes so fast. Im hoping to just have around 40 people to keep costs down.
A new baby too ,love new babies.
Jp Iv only took the dog to the vet today, should have been yesterday but Id got up and went back to bed. Probs where I got the energy to do a big clean. Dropped into Asda on the way back for dd swimming costume. Dd said it was thursday this week so panic buy. Letter today says its next week.
Iv ordered some crotchet needles and a beginners book. Hoping to teach myself. Im hoping its easier than knitting as Im rubbish at that.
Going to make tea and do the last of the washing and thats it.
Yorkshire lass wish we had a new front door but it will have to wait as the whole frame including glass above door will need to be replaced.
As for taking money off nieghbour good on you. My oh was forever doing favours fixing peoples computers and some people would not even offer him a drink. Maybe a side line for you doing peoples accounts.
Take care everyone.0 -
Ohh wedding planning, my favourite thing ever, love love it.
What puppy?
I have done nothing today, not doing very well at getting into a routine.
Hubby was finishing painting the landing when I woke up and then we watched the hairy bikers from last night and by the time we had lunch it was time for him to go to work.
I had a midwife appointment at half two, all perfect and spot on, but now I feel totally sick as I've just ate 2 bags of chocolate going to have to have some milk to wash it down with.
Going to do the dishwasher and have a cuppa and give today up as a bad job lol0 -

Oh, Buffy, I'm so sorry!:o I think you've mentioned your mother, so I assumed you were a student! I don't want ot make light of it, but having worked in a school, I'm seriously surprised that more teachers don't suffer with deprssion. Still, the same applies, and I'm glad you've seen a doctor. But I'm still quite
. I'm afraid I've got quite paranoid after my d's experiences, and it's gone on for years. She's only just pulling through it now, because she has a wonderful supportive bf.
I'm afraid I've got a bit left behind with everyone's news, and it's going to take time to catch up.
But, congrats to Gilly, both on your upcoming wedding, and all the arrangements you've done - how exciting. :T
Nah, sorry, can't agree about the baby thing. They're certainly God's little miracles, and I loved mine to bits, but that's about it, I'm afraid. Puppies, though, are a different matter altogether!
Well done all those messies who've been very busy de-messying. I haven't.A few excuses, though, in that our bathroom's being done next week (well, it is if the basin turns up in time!), and with such a small house, it seems pointless in cleaning anything too well. I've also had a fair mount of paperwork of one sort and another to see to, and I don't seem to be able to concentrate on it for long. Or rather, I get bored, and watch Youtube videos instead.
