My home is a mess

Woo, my flat might need to be condemmed but my car is lovely and tidy! (I even washed the kids car seats not so long ago, woo me)
Just filled a mousehole with expanding foam. They were making my carpet fray using that gap. It was satisfying.0 -

Basic incompatibility there. Having escaped one abusive relationship, I am not going to put up with a man telling me I'm not good enough ever again. Love me as I am...or b*gger off
haha omg! i had this a few weeks ago, was dating a guy and he kept going on about the state of my fridge (dunno what he was on about,i thought it was quite clean:rotfl:)
anyways.... he mentioned it one night (after sex!!!)
i told him he knew where the fridge was and the cleaning stuffs under the sink ...............................................
funnily enough i never saw him after that ....:rotfl::rotfl::T:T

I had one of those too. Trouble is I'm still with himb*ggered if I'm going to be grateful to him for cleaning the car though - my mess and I'll deal with it when I'M ready :rotfl:

Mouse? The cat has been putting her nose to the gap down the side of the dishwasher, head down, haunches up, tail sweeping back and forth...ALL EVENING.
:eek::eek::eek:
I don't know whether to hope it's an injured one she brought in that escaped (in which case I shall be led to the liquefying body by the smell in a day or two) or...no...the alternative is worse. I thought I'd blocked everywhere the little blighters could get in, and I'm out of ideas nowimport this0 -

You know, I do clean my car occasionally. Or take it to the nice Albanians who do a much better job than I do. But it reached the point where there was *no way* it was getting a clean in case he thought his nagging had been effective.
And since I already had a 70 wash bottle of car shampoo (otherwise known as a lifetime supply), the ghastly pink car wash and sponge gift set hit the charity shop (still unopened) immediately after we called it a day
I think there is space in the give and take of a relationship to raise my game for somebody with less mess tolerance than me. But I'd expect to be met (at least) halfway. And I can't stand slobby men who feel entitled to set higher standards for women. Too many of them about still, in my generation at least.import this0 -
Dont talk to me about mice, one was going totally mental in my bedroom last night, maybe digger a new hole after I pollyfillered the other one lol.
Bur I am tired, fed up, and off to do a bit of overtime at work.
(The kids have pyjama day at school, so about to change them out of their old pjs, into the ones that fit, that I have just washed expecially for this... Ho hum!)0 -
Hope your day went well Adela... did the kids enjoy their PJ day?
I'm struggling to stay up tonight, I feel like going to bed! I went shopping on the way home from work and despite my bank balance being unhealthy at the moment, I had a non-MSE spree and bought some carp I didn't need/could have made myself for a fraction of the price
I MUST knuckle down now - this month I need to rein in the spending and have a very frugal few weeks. Easter should be ok, spending wise, I will hopefully be gardening and house-cleaning/tidying. I have a lot of fabrics in now to keep me busy with my quilting too and a few days will be spent being a dutiful daughter as well.
Hope all messies are well and happy, enjoy your Friday all!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Afternoon messies.
Well done those who've told 'fussy' men to go asap! :rotfl: I have to say that my man's just lovely, don't know how he's put up with me for all these years.
Never had a mouse in any of our houses, although I did find a large slug in the vac cupboard a couple of years ago. The previous owners had had a tumbly drier in there, and there was a large hole in the wall for the vent. OH filled in the hole in the side of the cupboard, but not the outside wall. Slug came through, and managed to find a gap between the plinth and the floor, and onto the cat food. Eurghh!
How did the kids' day go, Adela?
Have made bread, done a WM load (not hung it all up yet), and taken the car for a ride around the area.Craft stuff still around but, after this weekend, I'm hoping that I'll have made a couple more cards, and I can put it all away for a while. Need to do some ironing tonight, if only because I don't think I've anything decent to wear tomorrow.
DD2 and bf not good, think he has depression, which is depressing in itself, as DD has suffered with depression for 10 years, and is just climbing out of it! I feel very sad about the whole situation, as they are otherwise so well matched.0 -
Have washing line poles...at last!!!!!!!!
