OH has absolutely nothing to say... really, not even mentioned it after the terribly nice lady left! I am dreading what he would say really, it would be all my fault somehow lol. Still the chocolate fudge cake we made was awesome, better not eat the whole lot cus I am depressed!!!

Found a website for supporting people who are in my position, so I can stop bothering you lot, just dont have anyone else to talk to. Dunno why, maybe I smell, but I dont have friends.
  • Blimey Adela that sucks hugely. I wonder if they have done it as a way for you to get support? bloody horrible tho. Hope you are ok and not massively worried?xx

    thanks for the hugs.

As another "magic" weekend is approaching I guess I should cheer up at some point but too tired.

    hang in there folks.

    xxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • We cross posted Adela, please don't feel like you don't have friends, as long as MSE is going you have loads of friends - my virtual friends have been my absolute rock over the last few years

keep posting or I will worry about you xxxx

Adela - don't think of it as "children at risk"; think of it as a "family at risk" register. You are coping admirably well with what you have available but the cramped conditions are bad for all of you. It just that the SWs can only justify helping the kids or they'd be stuck looking after all sorts of folks who can't cope as well as you're doing. They will need to put the kids on the register to set the wheels in motion for getting you some help but remember that time runs so slowly in local government that to the rest of us it looks like its going backwards. And some SWs appear to be born with a superscillious attitude that comes across like a slap in the face when you're almost at your wits end anyway. But it is rarely personal against you, rarely as judgemental as it comes across and usually a very good disguise for someone who desperately wants to help but is completely out of their depth. Usually there is a very good support system behind the scenes propping these muppets up so that they can get on with giving you the support you need. Its just that they aren't very good at letting you know that the support is there.

    Afternoon messies.

Missed all yesterday's posts, as I was with dd1 for the day. Huge hugs to Adela, Buffy, and Kitty, too. :grouphug: Depression makes everything seem bad and, when things really are bad, it's hard to cope, I know. It would be such a shame to give up your job, Adela, but our governement wants to encourage people to work. Hang on if you can, because it'll probably help your self-esteem. You really don't want anymore knocks.

Well done with the de-messing, kitty, but make sure you rest your foot, with it raised, as much as possible.

Jps, yes, only a week :rotfl: but I had mum over here. I usually clear up a bit before she comes.

Now have my new car. It came with a small suitcase of cleaning products. Maybe I'll keep the car cleaner than the house? Yeh, right!

Ahhh me too. Mum doesn't judge or anything but I hate to have her visit knee deep in carp!

Ooooh.... my "new" car was clean for a few months until I got too tired and run down to keep it that way... :o

Adela, you moan all you like. We all do! It's lovely to have you on the thread, and we all need a good moan sometimes.

I once dated a man who found the state of my car distressing. As the weeks went by, the comments became ever more anguished. He even bought me a sponge and shampoo. I offered to let HIM use them if it was bothering him so much, because by now I was making the point that it was MY car and none of his business.

Basic incompatibility there. Having escaped one abusive relationship, I am not going to put up with a man telling me I'm not good enough ever again. Love me as I am...or b*gger off :D

    Good for you, Laurel! :T

If you could see the state of OH's car. We have horses, horses mean mud and mess, and I think most of it is in his car. He hasn't washed the car for 6 months or so, but I don't think he's cleaned the inside since he bought it 2 years ago. It's quite disgusting, and we could probably grow veg in it now if we added water.
