Good morning everyone
Hope everyone is well?
My house is a mess!!
I guess my work pattern over the last 2 weeks has really put me out of sorts, either that or i got extra lazy again!
On the plus side, OH and me did pull the bedroom to peices on Saturday and give it a major going over, not one thick lump of dust to be found now
Now to find the energy and enthusiasm to at least make an effort in the rest of the house!
The main think bugging me at the mo is the DW. Some of the little holes in the spinning arm are blocked and every load is coming out icky
Think i'm going to have to clean them out by hand _pale_ cos the DW cleaner i ran last night didn't do the job.
Going to finish my coffee and write a list i think.
Have a good day all!My debt- £762.17
OH's debt- Est £16000
The aim of the game = Begin OP mortgage by Jan 20150 -
thanks for the welcome and encouragement!!
I managed to put the paint away in a cupboard yesterday so the kitchen looks like a kitchen and not a shed! Also called my Mum to help (push me along) lol with getting the bedroom finished tomorrow.
So am pleased that some action has began since joining you.... you are an inspiration. Hope you have a good day .0 -

Afternoon Messies. Beeoootiful day here.
Take care, mm. We would all like our houses to be spick and span, but maybe not everything done at once, huh?kittywight wrote: »feeling quite pleased with myself, im sitting on me bum now with a hot chocolate ... i suppose i should keep going

I like your thinking. Can't have you sitting around just looking pretty, can we?Think you've done very well, though. Is this a new Kitty?
Put a WM load on this morning, and hopefully it's best part dried outside. Have done nothing else in the house at all today, except pretty up a gift bag for a friend's birthday prezzies.
Went over to sign papers for my new car, which we'll be picking up next thursday. I've got to go out and deliver said prezzies to friend, and have a meeting to go to tonight. Don't think I'm going to get a lot done.0 -

i cant clean too much cos then i wont be able to come on the messies thread no more :rotfl:
then again, my place isnt immaculate, theres a loada big jobs that need doing, but i just kinda think if i hoover the floor then i can ignore them  know it doesnt work that way, its the big jobs that are making the place look bad.
just cant face it.....
ive done another load of washing and tumble drying...
need to hoover the floor again (ds had sausage roll for dinner )
and ive done a few more dishes
and sorted out some more recycling
also took ds to the duck pond and fed the ducks ... and ds fed some womans dogthankfully she was ok about it though.
also ... not really cleaning related, but my ds was invited to a birthday party, and i had to rsvp over the phone ... not a big deal really, but its a massive deal for me, i get petrified speaking on the phone, and especially since it was to someone who i know im gonna have to come face to face with ....
but i did iti rung and confirmed
and didnt mess it up
lol ......

Oh, bless you! Well done, cos doing something like that can be a big barrier, and it takes guts to do it. I hate going to places where I'll have to meet and talk with people I don't know. I'm supposed to be going to a training course, to do with the visits I do to a residential home. Unless I can find someone I know who's going, too, I'll keep putting it off.0 -
Evening everyone, sorry I've not found time to post on here for a few days. I had a fairly productive weekend on the messy front. I vacuumed my car and cleaned the dashboard etc - I felt so pleased with myself afterwards as I haven't done it for months and it felt so riffy everytime I got in the car.
In the house, I cleaned the toilet, mopped the kitchen floor, gave the top of the cooker a clean, cleaned and tidied the cupboard under the kitchen sink, washed a jug that I keep utensils in, did some washing and ironing and tidied and sorted the shelves in the walk in store cupboard under the stairs. I managed to make enough room on the shelves to house a batch of light bulbs that have been sitting on the kitchen windowsill for a couple of weeks.
I've done some more ironing tonight but there probably will not be enough time to do more than cooking, washing up and sandwich making over the next few evenings.
I've got friends popping in on Saturday afternoon and so I'll be motivated to dust and vacuum the living room on Saturday morning! I detest dusting!0 -
Welcome Teebird and XYZ.
Bearcub - re your `I don`t "do" children` - that`s like me only with babies & toddlers! My late Hubby was absolutely BRILLIANT with all kids, especially babies & toddlers (other people`s, I mean) and I always used to sort of `hide` behind him! I enjoyed my own, and my grandchildren, but that was that! I was fine with kids from age 4 up, once they get a bit more `interactive`! That`s why we opted for school-age fostering.
My daughter, however, broke the rules - we were asked to take her on `short term`, the plan was that our older fosterlings were long-term so I told them that this `new baby` (13 months old!) was just staying for the Summer Holidays. Nobody more amazed than me when we sort of `instant bonded`! Ten years later the older ones had moved on and she was still here, so we adopted her, hence I have a lovely DD & 4 grandchildren. Yet I still try to avoid other folks` babies! Other folks` frail confused grannies, other folks` puppies or old dogs, I love to cuddle - but not babies!0
