My home is a mess

here I am panicking about the mess and OH got a few deliveries, and has just chucked the cardboard boxes all over the floor. Ho hum.0

Bearcub - HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Good news about the car, too.
Kitty - hope you enjoyed your night out.
JPS - glad the missing item turned up for you. How did you find it, by searching for something else? That usually works for me.
Laurel - enjoy the garden work - a change is reportedly as good as a rest!
Messy status report - considering I`ve done quite a lot here during my week off, it`s not looking good!
DGD is in residence this weekend, that accounts for some of the untidiness. I`ve woken all week to sunny mornings and today it`s drizzly on & off, everywhere`s wet outside (naturally!) and I feel rather doldrumish. How to spend the last day of my week off constructively, and enjoy it too...? I`m sitting here looking out of the back window watching the birds on the feeders, there`s a lovely blaze of yellow from the daffs under the apple trees, and a wet rug on the line that I left out yesterday. All a bit CBA indoors, maybe I`ll get in the mood later on. Or not.
Have a nice weekend folks, whatever you`re doing!0 -
Afternoon messies.
Thanks for the birthday wishes, Emms. My birthday was actually on Thursday, and it was a 'special' one, so I didn't make a big thing of it, but did go out for dinner with OH and some friends.
It was very mizz here first thing, but it's turned out to be a lovely day, and washing is blowing in the breeze.I hope the weather's improved for you, too. Watching birds and admiring the daffs can't be too bad, can it?
I've been part of a working party at the local churchyard. The place is just smothered in crocuses and daffs, and full of bird song. Hopefully, it won't be long until the squirrels (red, of course) come out to play. As for de-messing indoors - nah!0 -

I've had a not-very-productive day - messed around with some patchwork ideas/old clothes this morning and felt uninspired so gave up and put it away again. Hoovered half-heartedly, did two loads of washing, cleaned the loo, washbasin and shower, did basic cleaning in the kitchen and made "healthy" biscotti for the week (stops me eating biscuits full of bad fats).
Hospital visit tomorrow so won't be able to get much done.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Wne my kids were born, being special, and Bromley Council early years apparently being absolutley brilliant we had a lot of home visitors to help me out. Speech and language, portage, that sort of thing. Which means at 7 my boys are coping pretty well, with all the support they need in place at school and the like. But one day I came home and the toilet door had been removed. It was a bit broken but you know, not like see through or anything. I just told him about the social work visit, cue a HUGE strop. We shouldnt have gone out today, he wanted to do OU work etcetc... well the whole point is to try and get me some help, if they walk into a palace they will wonder what I have been moaning about. Not like I can offer them a seat anyway, seeing as the sofa died lol...0

(he's stomping about now, and I mean stomping, picking things up, sighing putting them in a different pile, stomping, sighing, oh dear I r in trouble, and he works from home so there will be NO respite from this...)0

Happy birthday, bearcub!
Adela, I think you're right. Better to look like you need support
Hope you found something nice to do today, Emm.
I have blossom! On the peach tree in the greenhouse, on an....er...nameless tree in the garden, and the dwarf apricot on the patio is about to burst into flower. :j
I've also moved quite a bit of soil and mixed quite a bit of cement...and I did indeed find it energising. I even came in at dusk and did some housework. This is fortunate, because I doubt I'll be able to move tomorrow....:D The bricks are laid down one side of the path (not by me), most of the digging is done (mostly by me)...the path is supposed to terminate in a brick-edged circle...which isn't marked out yet. I guess we might be a quarter of the way there. A third, if we're luckyBut if I consider that in September I had 30m of 20 foot Leylandii and a broken fence, then I think we're doing very well

I dont want to look like I need too much support, I maybe have degrees and a responisble job with disabled kiddiwinks and a (twit) of an OH who earns a fortune, but I will still be the girl from the caravan... whenever anyone says social worker we fear! we fears them!0
