DON'T PANIC, ADELA! :) Seriously, hope the visit goes well.

Now very sunny here, and I'm going for a walk - really need to get rid of a bit of weight. Before then, WM load on, clean bathroom, and dust the lounge.

Hi all, havent been on here much lately so hello to friends old and new.

Adela, I sympathise. It looks like my son may be having a home tutor for a while. The lady who came last time was very nice but it was definitely an incentive to make sure the house looked tidy!

I had a major attack on the garden yesterday and my back are shoulders are feeling it today. I am itching to get out there and finish off but think I should leave it until the weekend. Sorted out some paperwork today and got half way through working out my budget for March. I should really get that finished.

After the really mild weather its pretty chilly here tonight. I have been trying not to have the heating on but think it might need to go on tonight for an hour. Off to tidy the kitchen up now and see whats on telly.

Evening, Messies. (Where have all the Messies gone today??)
Adela, I hope the visit went OK. Not all SW`s are impressed by tidiness you know. When we used to foster, our SW used to say she liked coming here `because it was normal` - I`d already told her she was welcome anytime, but it was unlikely that she`d find us `tidy`.
I`ve done a quick sweep of DGD`s room today, then went `garden shopping`. Nice day out, really - got a couple of whiskey barrel (halves) to plant stuff, they were half price, and some compost, and some meadow flower seeds, and canes for runner beans to go in planters...now I`ve spent some money on it will have to get started in the garden soon.

This place is a real dump, beyond messy. I am so busy i told her she could either come at the weekend or tuesday, she sounded pretty grumpy but my boys have sports, and we are out and about a lot. (thought that would be a plus lol) This house is still a real dump tho.

There is a door on the Loo now however (OH took it off to stop people coming to the house, true story)

Yorkshirelass, I suspect the gardening bug may be calling to many Messies now. My shoulders are aching this morning - not from gardening, but from lugging my purchases from the car to the back garden. Probably hasn`t done my rear suspension any good either (the car`s, I mean!)
I plan on doing a bit more caravan Tetris today, plus a bit of ruthlessness in the spare bedroom, and a couple of WM loads. Tomorrow is the last day of my week off, so trying to focus on the `irregular` stuff rather than the regular chores.
Adela - your OH must have been desperate - do tell us the whole tale, please!
Hugs to all Messies, have a lovely Friday!

Hi messies! I doubt I'll do much in the way of demessying this weekend, as I have another hospital run on Sunday. Hopefully I will get around to the main jobs that need doing though.

Had an interesting and eventful (in a good way) week at work... by the way the missing item did turn up... whew! Ended the week on a high with a lovely afternoon walk in the sunshine on a field trip.

My cherry trees (bought super cheap from aldi) are budding nicely now! I'm definitely one of the messies who will be out in the garden at every opportunity, rather than sitting in the house!

Even now I'm out there poking things in the hope they'll burst into flower immediately!

    Evening messies.

Great stuff, kitty! :TYou'll put us all to shame. Good news about the cooker, will be hoping for you! Have a lovely time tonight, won't you? :)
Probably hasn`t done my rear suspension any good either (the car`s, I mean!)
:rotfl: I know how you feel!

Like Emms, I'm intrigued about the loo door, Adela.

Good news that the missing item turned up, jps. Lovley, too, that your trees are budding. I noticed this morning that the buds on our nectarine have grown a bit in the last couple of days. Don't you just love spring?

Not been at home much in the last two days, so done very little. The odd WM load (which didn't dry outside because the sea mist rolled in) and dusted in the lounge so, when I take down my birthday cards, there's not a thick layer of dust. Spent this morning looking at bathroom suites and tiles for the re-fit. We've chosen, but need to speak to the plumber to make sure what we've chosen is suitable for our tiny bathroom.

Also, :j OH called into a car showroom while we were out, and we've found me a new car! :)

I'm convinced this week had about eight working days in it......shattered.

Definitely due a garden day tomorrow...more work on the new path (as unskilled labour, obviously). Fresh air and exercise will be as good as a rest. Probably. :)
