Thanks Laurel! I've been up since about 8.30am and apart from still feeling quite weak I feel much, much better. Not only put the slow cooker on, but have even done a bit of housework and made lemon and almond biscotti. I really, really need to defrost the freezer, I might make that tomorrow's job.

Messy wise things aren't too bad, I hoovered upstairs (only the visible bits, and there aren't many of those!!) but haven't yet dusted. Downstairs is still largely mess free apart from the bags of old fabric/clothes etc. for my patchwork and t shirt yarn projects. I kind of don't count those as mess as they're part of something productive!

Hope everyone else is having a great Saturday.

  • Hi all, congratulations MM, thats great news.

Have had a very lazy day today. I cleaned the oven which now looks nice and shiny but thats about it. Managed to get the car stuck in the snow and had to get OH to help me get it out! Very embarrasing but OH was very understanding, bless him.

Laurel I have so much admiration for you running a course. I used to help out when one of my colleagues couldnt take her evening class and it used to terrify me!

Hope you are on the mend JPS, tummy bugs can wipe you out. And Jacci hope you are doing OK, take it easy.

Off to watch some telly now I think.

hey well done kitty!!! Don't worry about DS, he'll forgive you xx

still partying tonight, but looks like the young'uns aren't going clubbing later :(:( Still, that's never stopped me before:D

No demessying, just went shopping and spent too much money as usual :( Now having a very nice drink but need to get off my butt and get ready soon! Hate this, end up sitting with a drink and youtube to myself for a change (not that I expect to hear any of the tunes I'm playing tonight) and can't move!

get well jps and jacci xx

Cheers Cat! I'm loads better now. Hope the partying goes well - I don't think I've got a party left in me these days, I must be getting very old!

Kitty well done on all the demessying and I'm sure DS will forgive you but if he doesn't you could always resort to bribery! He likes pizza, right? ;)

Well done, kitty, for all that work and de-messing. :T Your DS is young - he'll have forgotten all about today by tomorrow.

Good news that you're much better, jps.

Hope you enjoy the party, Cat.

Think OH and I both have colds coming - he keeps coughing, I keep sniffing. Time for sleep, I think. See you tomorrow.

    Moved backwards today.

Every pan off the rack is soaking downstairs. Plus at least two casserole dishes.

Made two lots of soup, which are OK separately, but nicer stirred together, some pasta sauce, which is hopefully now properly cooked-after it caught on the base of the second pan I poured it into a vacuum flask and it's still there. Some cookies and rye bread. It feels like I've spent more time cleaning and washing up than cooking, but the kitchen is still a tip.

    Oh, well...always tomorrow...
