Oh dear going to work was a mistake - it is a tummy bug :( I ended up coming home again and now back in bed with hot water bottles.

It's incredible how quickly things get messy in the kitchen when I'm ill - I just can't do the washing up and cleaning yet and it's already looking like a total bomb site.

I hope everyone else is well - half term for most of us now I think? Hopefully this bug will go soon and I'll be able to do something productive with my week!

Happy half term all, whatever you're doing!

    Afternoon messies.

jps, sorry you're feeling so rotten. Tummy bugs seem to be countrywide atm. Hope you feel better soon, but it's always a case of time with these bugs, isn't it?

Hugs, Jacci, you're a real heroine going through all of this pain without going back to the ciggies. Moan away! Mind you, if you can't move much, you can't go and buy any, can you? ;) I hope the back eases up soon, so restricting. :(

To you both, just take time to get well. Housework can wait!

Unlike a lot of areas, we've had very little snow. We thought at first we'd had none at all, but there was a light dusting on my car, and some on the downs. All gone now, though.

The lounge desperately needs vacuuming, as there seems to be widespread shavings and cat litter - why can't the cat give her paws a really good shake when she's finished? Daren't get the cleaner out while she's awake, though, as she's terrified of it. But she's totally deaf so, once she's asleep, I can carry on. What we do for these animals. :)

If you ever figure out how to get her to do that will you let me know? :D Mine does the same. I now have her litter tray in the "utility" area so it's not too bad, but I still find stray granules here and there.

I've been sleeping again, pretty much since I last posted - still feel weird but have got up now and might see about some tea in a bit. Thanks again for the good wishes - there seems to be bugs everywhere at the moment, lots of people run down and off ill.

Hi everyone. Iv not read through all posts yet but hugs to those who need it.

Iv been trying to train the dog we were given. Its hard work as he is into everything. Not much housework getting done.

We have not had snow which is lucky looking at other parts of the country. My mum said it was really bad by her in Northampton.
  • Ok ok ok I'm sorry I've been away AGAIN but I can't hold it in any longer and I have to tell SOMEONE!

I just asked B to marry me...and he said yes :) I was going to wait until the 29th but I couldn't wait any longer :)

feel exactly the same kitty - the only place I can be in and not want to cry is the hall lol - everywhere else is a TOTAL shithole.

Got a party/clubbing tomorrow night and if I do stuff tomorrow I'll be too knackered to go - and Sunday will be a write off too:beer::o
  • Hello again Messies - BIG (((HUGS))) to all - I`ve read briefly, and can now only post briefly - I have so MISSED being able to read & post properly here. Hope to catch up tomorrow though.
MessyMare - you didn`t even wait till the 14th! Congratulations, God Bless bothXXX
Hart - hope your birthday was nice.
YL - great news about DS appointment brought forward - not long to wait now.
Laurel- you`ve done your bit, now it`s up to them...they`ve been lucky to have a teacher who cares as you do. Your post reminded me of my old maths teacher - I`ll post again about this.
Jacci & JPS - and anyone else feeling pain or poorliness - hang in there, hope you feel better soon.
Snookey - lovely time, the settling-in of a new dog - makes me all broody to think of it. Tidy-mode ain`t possible when you have to prioritise.
McCulloch - I too have a VERY MESSY DS - who also declutters HIS space now & then and leaves his clutter all over other (already cluttered) areas of house/shed/caravan! GRRRR!
Cat - hope the WM changing goes smoothly. They`re such Heavy things!

Messy status report - very GRIM. Said DS has decluttered HIS room for GF visit, so LR, Kitchen are truly trashed by this. Also he`s filled the bin, so I`ve got to do a skip-run tomorrow with the `normal` stuff as they don`t get emptied till Monday.
Had a run of `shorter` shifts, intead of my usual long-days, but can now start to catch up a bit. Have been just concentrating on meals & washing-up enough to `tick over`, until now.
Doing liver & onions tonight, with swede & spud mash, & cabbage with a bit of bacon. So far all I`ve done is peel the spuds & weep over the onions.

Drags self away to kitchen again...
